My esteemed colleague Mr Earthan is clearly very frustrated and dissapointed by this experience.
The crux of this issue is that Hellspawn didn't keep his word with regard to a 1v1 and clearly never intended to. Therefore he is an asshat and therefore not to be trusted or accorded any respect whatsoever.
As for the rest of CA, they are of course all ebil pirates, but we cannot call the rest of their alliance liars and cheats based on one asshat. Like any alliance there are good and bad pilots both in terms of their honour and fighting abilities.

Jeez why is it people seem to think CA are all pirates? We are an alliance of PvP, for the most part..and some corps who fill in some other support roles also. Pirates are griefers...who kill just to make someone else's day suck....OR....the legitimate type who ransom ships at gates. CA is neither one..we enjoy PvP to be sure, but we have enough targets in 0.0 space...and they are eithe in Curse space where they know they should not be,,or in known war zones. We do raid other space also...and gank indy's ...but it is not to make someone's day suck..it is resource denial like war usually is. Tell me that the "good guys" dont keep or sell mods when they kill CA ships...ofc they do...as we do also - "spoils of war". This does not make us pirates...When my corp joined CA we were told specifically not to kill ships in empire, only in curse or in space of curse enemies. Just think most people follow the propoganda...whatever...there is a lot of learning to be had here...lots of good people to play with, and I am proud to be here, and TBH damn glad I made this move. If one guy makes you mad, it is a shame to slag a whole alliance...as a matter of fact....I would like to see someone name names here that they claim to be a pirate...or pirate corp.

hellspawn agreed to a 1v1. That does NOT mean, mr hellspawn, "bring your friend". A 1v1 consists of you, and your opponent. No friends, no corpmates, no alliance members, no nothing. Only you and your opponent, preferably, are in the system.
He makes lame excuses to bring in his friend. "he was running away"- last i checked, that's an allowed option that anyone can take. A very snsible one if you're loosing aswell.
"he had an advantage, a headstart" - what's wrong with this? he should have been prepared, his own fault.
All this adds up to a member of CA which needs friends to kill someone, and who forgets to fit scramblers/webbers. Yay. Go hellspawn, make your alliance proud.

ah well, what CA ppl dont understand "IF" and its a big frikking if they aint pirates. That "Some" ppl in The CA alliance does conduct bulling. not piracy, not those i have encounternd nor my fellows(and alot of ppl in eve). If they call them selfs pirates they need to look up some fact about how pirates act. like one thing they dont do actions that dont bennefit them in any way.
Like blowing up noobs for fun, and that alot of CA ppl do. And going around targeting ppl in empire space and action like small juviniles. Real pirates would see those ppl like an discrace for the pirate proffesion. So To the so called none CA pirates, maybe its time to give all corps in the CA alliance on how to behave and keep their members informed.
Well a credit to CA, they are very good fighters. But what will make them fall is their actions and gathering more enemies. Ergo bad political tactics

CME is part of curse alliance. and damned proud of it.
We are not pirates, we never have been. We do not sit on gates looking to hold people to randsom or just to gank them, unless of course they are our enemies.
Anyone who knows CME will tell you we are an honorable corp, we keep our word, we know how important our reputation as a respectable corporation is.
We actually kill pirates, and if you want more proof of that check out or standings and see what corps have very low standings with us. they are either: rival alliance corporations (eg: FA or SA or XETIC) or are pirate corporations, Through most of beta CME was at war with Xtinction, i think the largest pirate corp during beta. Since early retail we carried this trend on along with others such as omega corp and other beta corporations and pounded xtinction into space dust until they disbanded. We also attacked other pirate corporations on many occasions, i believe we where the first to properly attack "the Gang" and hit them hard, they told us that we where anyhoo.
Quit buying into this "CA are pirates" lark Korben Allahn, its propaganda and getting very old now. you are by your own admission quite new to this game, dont make enemies out of potential friends and contacts by buying into someone elses BS.

Well i was surprised myself.
In my previous encounters CA pilots were always wiliing to fight, also in 1-1 meetings , thats why i agreed to this, not believing in warnings from friends.
Most of you I meet were nice eager to fight pilots, i was just angry.
