However, I would like some second opinions about that game from people who have experience from it. I'm already a big fan of games such like Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam. Take that into consideration Thank you! Edit: Oh, and by the way - I'm mainly a pilot in the above mentioned games. What race in PlanetSide would be recommended for the best combat flying?

MadGaz Finite Horizon	Posted - 2004.06.30 13:20:00 - [3] It's ok for a week or two. Didnt try all the races myself only terran. The air vehicles aren't that good, doesnt feel right for some reason, not 3d enough? cant explain it myself lol

Iskander	Posted - 2004.06.30 14:15:00 - [11] It sounded too good to be true and was, the whole experience almost put me off MMOGs for life. Lots of lag, frequent crashes - every 10-15mins, dull gameplay and unfriendly user community. The only thing I would add is that it has now been almost a year since I cancelled my sub, so they must have made some improvements? Thanks to Monkey Boy for pestering me month after month to join Eve and from friend's gossip Battlefield 1942 seems one of the best FPS MMOGs.

I didn't have any problems with fps or crashing, and hardly had any lag (except in huge battles). It was a lot of fun when I played it, there have always been some balance issues but nothing that ruined the game for me. They've got a 30 day trial for like $10 right now, might as well give it a shot. I think it's one of those like it or hate it games, not really any middle ground.

Then Fileplanet started giving people access to the open beta and things went downhill from there. People didn't play to have fun, they played to gain levels and experience. I heard people say that it is actually FUN to gain experience. Others said that once they reached BR20, they would have fun then! I even had one guy say he was better than me just because he was a higher BR level! Planetside is still a great game, the players just ruined it. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity.

Neo Ghost	Posted - 2004.07.01 04:06:00 - [21] I played it back when it first hit the stores. Loved the game for about 3-4 months then i just got bored with it...Not sure how it is now tho. If you do play it, it doesnt matter what race you choose, they all get the same air vehicles.
