using a raven in caldari navy missions. i know that u have to change the drone race to fit the damage type and i do that. it still feels like the drones to very little damage. they often cannot take down a single t2 frig rat without the help of my cruise launchers. i have ok drone skills with interfacing at lvl 4 and heavy at lvl 3. im using 3 t1 heavy frigs. is there some other combinatio of drone sizes i should use? some mod to help there damage?
advice is appreciated |

use hammerhead IIs they tear through frigs, and don't require much training if you already have drones V
Heavy drones will always have a hard time killing small ships, and you'll get roughly the same dps with better tracking/sig radius if you use 5 mediums. |

Use mediums or lights, they'll do a bit better for anti-frig work. Gallente drones (hobgoblin, hammerhead) are best for damage. |

Always use Gallente drones - they have the biggest dmg multiplier which generally makes up for the NPC resistances. Much more important is to use the right drone SIZE against the NPCs.
Frigs = small drones !!!

T2 lights work just fine vs frigates, with hobgoblin IIs being highest DPS light drones.

If you never want to change drones, use 5x Hammerhead IIs for all situations. They will handle any NPC frigate you encounter, and really help your DPS against other targets as well. ------------

I am looking for a good 0.0 corp/alliance. Convo if interested. |

For my Caldari Agent, the only time I switch drones from Hammerheads is for Angel Extravaganza

Use augmented hammerheads for ultimate dps! (they do the same dps as t2 hammerheads, but are much faster) |

The ultimate dps still depends on the resist distribution of your target. Augmented will do less damage than normal t2 if your target has higher kin than therm resists more damage if kin is lower than therm.
Exp and kin drones let you do more damage than thermal depending on enemy faction. Even with the smaller multiplier.

My friend, this is EVE, as it's a space oriented game, they couldn't have trolls. We have Caldari.

If you're running missions for Gallente / Caldari kinetic drones should be your #1 choice. The 9.6% more base damage of thermals does not make up for the 20% average resist differential between kin/therm on Serpentis and Guristas. Let's not forget that they fly faster and track better as well.
Your mistake, I think, is using T1 heavies when you could be using T2 mediums which are faster, pretty good against frigs and easy to train for.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |
