Some people have a RL
So do I. LOL
Even at 5 hours a week of mining, that is (with my mining alt mining alone) 4 jet cans of ore an hour for a total of 540K m3 of ore, worth about 264mil isk for an ark and bistot 50/50 split. If you are doing that every week in a quality mining system that is way more than the cost of GTC.
So if you can only mine an hour a day on average, find a corp that gets you access to better ore and has bonuses available from other members. |

I would like to see math problems are a way to see if someone is mining or if its just a macro. Something with some physics; something to make sure that someone is really there behind the computer screaming that they don't understand the question being asked.
Now THIS is a great idea! Automated carebear tears generator.
Could even make it adaptive. If the miner is well versed in physics and math, switch to pop culture trivia for obscure cultures, with a healthy dose of Navajo and Aboriginal creation myths. If by some miracle they google their way out of that one progress to theories of Marxism and Leninism, and if by some miracle they get past that: gearhead knowledge. E.g.
Chrysler produced the following engine(s) in 1963:
1. 426 Hemi 2. 426 Wedge 3. All of the above 4. None of the above 5. Who the hell is Chrysler?
I likes. Can I haz? I promise to resub all my accounts if this goes in.
Math is good for giggles.
Check all groups below that are isomorphic to subgroups of O(5|5; R).
1. O(4; R) 2. O(7; R) 3. SP(5; R) 4. SP(6; R) 5. O(2|3; Z) 6. E4 7. E5 8. E6 9. A5 10. A7 11. B5 12. C4 13. C5 14. C6 15. sl(4; R) 16. osp(i|0; R), where i<5. 17. Osp(i|j; Z), where i<5 and j>0. 18. Osp(0|j; Z), where 2<j<3.
You must answer this question correctly by the end of your 22.5 hour mining cycle in order for that mining cycle to count. Better get started, you don't have much time!
For 10% bonus ore, name a group homeomorphic to O(4|4; R) with five distinct random (using any probability measure in which bounded, open sets, under the the manifold topology, have positive, finite measure) holes punched in it.

Originally by: Rafael Urdaneta I have an idea: Mining Corporations should form an OPEC style Mineral and Ore Committee to control the ore prices of EVE. It would be a little difficult to set-up, but could be possible through good organization. The other problems is the fact the macrominers dump all their ore/minerals into Jita and have totally collapsed the Jita Market in respect to ore and mineral trading. As a result, the OPEC style Mineral and Ore Committee should pick a different region (Rens -editor) and attempt to control that market.
There you go Rafael, fixed it for you.
Personally i think this a good idea. Either a player run OPEC style organization that has the goal of pushing out macromining, or one run by CCP. I think the player run "Organiazation of Mineral and Ore Producing Corporations (OMOPC)" would add a very interesting dynamic to the game. It was once there along time ago in EVE's history, but the macromining has saturated the market. A player controlled Jita customs agency would be interesting as well, with their sole purpose to attempt to regulate the craziness that is Jita.
There are a few draw backs, like deciding who would get a seat/voice at the council, but all that could be worked out eventually, after many bloody and brutal wars. The other problem is picking a place that does as much trading as Jita. CCP really needs to spread the Jita market around, to place like Rens, and Amarr Prime (or whichever the Amarr Hub is), like it was before. They could even bring back the ancient 'Super-highway.' The Jita market is completely out of control in regards to mineral and ore prices. Even today i saw the price of ore is more then the total sum of its parts. For example Monoclinic Bistort, which is selling at 12000/unit can only refine to about 1,653, 438isk, and the purchase price is 2,400,000isk (12000x200 (where 200 is the minimum amount to refine it once). Which basically means your paying an extra one million to produce it yourself, which makes absolutely no logistical sense, why even sell the ore.
I think Rafael may be onto something here.

whats the problem.. as a newbie miner a go around and find whole systems cleared by 1 corp or another or mine it clean.. why not just mine what you can if you can find some and sell it cheaper .. or stock pile it until the prices go up.

If there a macro thats mining I think it the player / Alliance macro to cheat! I mean I don't see many Macro now! I mean the true macro miner gone to missions where you can earn $#@ loads more!
Also If I remember it right the mineral prices are low mainly due to missions loot! I think there should be no T1 loot or make it rare as least! So much loot getting pumped into the market does effect this! It does need sorting out I honestly think Miner should have a better trade in this. I also think Mission should be to salvage/Bounty isk only! loot drops just no longer should be around PERIOD!

Tho My problem is sometime Alliance operation screw the local pop over when theyenter 4 system and cleaned it out! Now that bugs me but it happens! When it comes ot macro thats just different!
