Title pretty much sums up my question. Providing one isn't set red with CVA can anyone slink into CVA 0.0 ad rat/mine to ones hearts content and remain unmolested by them?
Or is this merely the public face?
(this isn't an opportunity for people to recount 'CVA shot me' sob stories or general trolling. Oh Christ i just asked CAOD not to troll a thread... ) |

If you havent offended CVA or their pets / friends, you can go into CVA space and rat without being troubled by them. There would still be the normal "be careful" warnings, because roamers can still pass through and pick you off.
If you are actually blue with CVA you would get an intel channel as well, but i guess you just want free rats. |

It appears you're not on our KOS list, but maybe check with a diplomat first. Also check with a diplomat first if you have low sec status (-5.0 or below) as you may be mistaken for a pirate.
Providence region and all the alliances who hold space there operate NRDS policy, using the same single KOS / Red list. If you or your corp/allianec mates shoot someone not on that list, you go KOS / red, otherwise, you're free to rat and mine. No POS, locking is considered a hostile act, outpost docking fees are 0.2isk / m3 of ship volume, no macroing, no can flipping or theft, concord wars do not exempt you from the usual rules. We're not concord but generally try to help where possible
Always wear a seatbelt, fly safe
Edit: Policy extends to all Amarr low sec, but for practical reasons we can't have a presence everywhere (yet), so also don't be mistaken that once out of Providence you can go about being a pirate with no reprocussions.

Severance is blue to CVA.
You should keep that in mind, I suggest talking to a CVA diplo (sorry guys) before heading out. I know most systems are open to whoever, the stations all have fees on them I believe, but as long as you are not red to CVA you will be fine.
But I think it is important to note that CVA's rules are different from the alliances that live within and around Providence. Many of them have their own policies on neutrals and ratting. They are all NRDS but I know there are some alliances that don't allow neutrals to rat in certain systems. You will have to find out from them what the deal is with that.
Even though Providence in general is relatively safe to neutrals or new players to 0.0 you have to keep in mind that there are several roaming hostile gangs that move through. AAA is right on CVA's doorstep and have many small gangs roaming through providence during all hours. Another reason I suggest you talk to a diplo. You don't want to lose ships to hostile gangs.

All alliances in Providence are required to operate the same rules / system. However, sylph alliance may additionally request you do not rat in certain of their Catch systems. They also have a no NPC characters policy again in their Catch systems
Also worth adding there is a system for redemption from KOS list and policy regarding accidents / misunderstandings

The 0.0 CVA space has horrible rats.. I think you can find better rats in empire.
Although if you rat hunt CVA they drop pretty good stuff. They will bring 20 people for a 5 man gang so watch out. Normally you can pick them off but expect a fight from them.

It usually helps to contact a diplomat in game with these questions instead of CAOD. And for info you dont appear red to me or on our KOS list so would be interested to hear (in game) where you heard you were. |

In level 4s, maybe, however, while the bounties may suck, the salvage is pretty godly. Even with the price of melted capacitor consoles down about 50% from a year ago, they still net quite a bit. The market is pretty competetive with empire, what good loot does drop is often worth quite a bit as well. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.

CVA rats usually drop some crap named t1 loots. I think it's because region has low true sec. I think ccp didn't want to make them drop too good stuff, otherwise AAA would be farming them 23/7.

I have evemailed a diplo with the situation as i believe it to be. Eh, its been a while so i went back and refreshed my memory.
My first ever corp 'Shiny Industrys' was apparently set red after our CEO at the time Nicholai Sanse engaged some Sev3rance guys on the Dihra- KB7' something or other gate; still don't know why
I discovered this after i got picked off on gate by Sev3rance guys and got in contact with to Dreamy and Ironpig (and in hindsight given i have re-read the logs cheers to Dreamy for proving Sev can be civil in communications). Dreamy mentioned by eve-mail that the consequences of the corp being set to neg standings meant that even after leaving the corp i would be flagged as red to them.
Nice when you find this kind of stuff out from an alliance and not your own CEO.
Now apparently my current corp might be kos for CVA space, or so say some of our guys.
Gah, waiting on the diplo for a reply; cant check eve till this evening. |

No, it isn't public. I believe its exclusive to CVA only and maybe some providence holders. Outside of that, good luck finding out.

As a general rule, always check alliance, then corp, then the individual's name. If you/they don't come up as KOS for any of those, then you aren't.

Actually, assuming you have half a brain and chain the ratting/salvaging is way more profitable than the best lvl 4 mission running. The only downside is it can be difficult some days to find a system to chain, and there is always the odd numbskull that breaks the chains. The rats typically die way faster than the mission rats and provide (on average) better bounties.
Never seen an officer spawn but the usual BS faction and hauler spawns.
If you explore there are also Bistot belts and all the other usual arch/salvage stuff.
Originally by: Cupdeez Although if you rat hunt CVA they drop pretty good stuff. They will bring 20 people for a 5 man gang so watch out. Normally you can pick them off but expect a fight from them.
And the difference from the other space holding 0.0 alliances in this respect is?
Cheers, Ruf. PS: the other (non-holder) residents of Providence often form fleets to go after intruders too, so it can be some fun pewpew too. Of course although some of the fleets are excellent it can be hit and miss.
