when playing eve and jumping long distances use that command very often, cant just sit and watch my ship in 30min doing nothing but jumping.
a few days before the patch it got impossible to tab back in again when sitting in a station, but outside worked without any problems.
and now with the patch i cant even get back when out in space. its just not me, a corp m8 also got this problem the same day
----------------------------------------------- I march forward victorious on the red carpet of my enemies corpses! |

Always had that problem, my personal fix is when your not going into combat run windowed version and going into combat use fullscreen version. - - -

i think it is somehow video card related. on my ati based laptop i can happily alt+tab all day long. now worries on the nvidia based desktop i have the same problem .. like it was mentioned .. run in windowed mode and you ll be fine.

ati catalyst 4.1-4.6, omega 4.3... no hope of alt-tabbing. switching between windowed and fullscreen is usually a battle that lasts quite a few crashes as well. you might just as well call the reason on the position of the stars and the moon on the sky and six chickenbones on a reindeer hide tamborine, and video cards

Edited by: Haratu on 01/07/2004 15:24:15 I use alt-tab all the time, in fact i will use it now to turn on my autopilot...
...there done, now what was i saying? yes, alt-tab works fine in windows 2000 for eve.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

ALT+TAB? No problem here. I run two Eve instances in full screen mode and ALT+TAB between them every few minutes without problems. P4, 2.8 GHz, XP, Radeon 9700, somewhat outdated gfx-drivers. Maybe having 2 gigs of memory helps? <shrug>

playing in windowed mode even gives me more fps (+30/34) , hehe, fullscreen gives me (22/26) using GForce4 256mb ram, windows xp, 1280x910, 786mb ram.
