interesting idea, but I think it would limit pirating by alot and even though I'm not a pirate I think it would be a bad thing
also if this were going to go through then It should just be like that in 0.0 as a compromise :) I'd hate too miss traffic in empire

I don't agree with this change. This really does play to the AFK culture that flourishes in Eve already.
Even in Empire, there are three ways of making long journeys.
1. Set up bookmarks to every gate for instajumps (this takes ages, try it if you don't believe me). Then manually warp to them when entering each system, click autopilot to make the instajump, click auto off when jumping. Repeat.
2. Equip MWD or ABs. Let the autopilot take the strain and hit speed boost when at 15km.
3. Just let the autopilot handle it, sure you'll get there eventually. Go AFK and have dinner.
Option 1 takes the most time and effort to make work and is also the fastest. Option 2 requires that you are at least at the PC and makes travelling quite fast. Option 3 is the real lazy option and is really slow.
Now the devs are considering making option 3 the best option?
If someone avoids the main busy systems in 0.0 where there probably would be mobile warp disruptors setup (U-Q for example), then they can happily AFK travel through 0.0 space with no fear with loads of WCS fitted. Even if the map and local were working properly, it would be impossible for anyone to actually catch up with them and stop them. Even an interceptor could not catch up with an AFK Probe as was noted earlier!
At the minute, if anyone is travelling through 0.0 space, they need to be at the PC at all times and alert for danger.
This will just happily play into the hands of all the Empire carebears who want free access to 0.0 space with no danger to themselves.
In case you can't guess, I am very much against this idea.

This idea is BAD.
Insta BMs need an experienced player to make successfully.
If you are patrolling your own area of 0.0 you will surely have the same BMs as the guy you are chasing. I have caught up with many ships in my interceptor, but if they are flying a frig/shuttle they cant be caught.
Speed up the Warp speed of Interceptors IMO. 9 AU would be nice. Could catch those cheeky sobs in n00b ships on instas EASY (as it should be).

Someone got the vital point earlier. THIS ISN'T BETA! Stop fiddling. People adapt to the game as it is. You keep changing the rules. This means peoples planning was wasted and they are constantly fighting the game to come up with new ideas. The current situation works fine. And it would need to be very, very bad for it to be worth changing it. Concentrate on fixing bugs and adding new stuff like getting Shiva right. All these ship rebalancings and things are silly. Some ship is always going to be best. At least if you leave it alone we can know what's what!
