I did, once, the day I got Torpedoes (but couldn't afford a Raven).
It couldn't do a level 3 mission.
Do not do it as a DPS ship. No exceptions. --

I heard some people used it as a tank in gangs for huge things like complexes.
It was before the drake or the command ships, not sure how good its compares now but still, 8 med slot BS sized shield tank.

Being one of, I believe, three ships in the game with 8 midslots it can sport a serious shield tank. But since you can't tank things to death and since the Scorpion is quite lacking in the DPS department, it's not a good choice for running missions unless you're using it in a group as a damage sponge.
It can work for 'ratting as you can jam the 'rats, but the low DPS makes you inefficient and the mercurial nature of ECM leaves you vulnerable to missed jammed cycles. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

Well, thinking about the upcoming patches, I think the Scorp will be a great ship. I mean it has at least the midslots to fit half a dozen webs and painters, to actually hit something with its missiles !

IMHO , get yourself a Golem for serious level 4 mission running ;)
You won't fly any other ship after that , it's all-in-one ship for missions .
My CNR collects dust :/

You could use a Scorpion for missions, nothing says you cant, its just not very efficient. Ofc it would sport a great tank, but its damage potential would be quite low, having to use a mix of launchers, railguns and drones, with bonus to none of the three. The 4 lowslots arent bad, but you'd have to choose one main weapon upgrade. A possible fit, based on my old Raven could be this:
4x Arby Cruise 2x 425mm rail 1x XL shield booster 2x Hardener mission specific (primary and secondary incoming damage) 2x Invulnerability Field 1x Shield Boost Amp 2 Shield Extender (no idea what to fit on the last 2 midslots ) 1x Cap Flux Coil 3x BCU Drones a mix of medium and lights.
Should work, but the damage would be really really bad

Last time I used a scorpion in a mission the setup was something like:
[Scorpion, Test 2] Power Diagnostic System II Capacitor Flux Coil II Capacitor Flux Coil II Ballistic Control System II
Republic Fleet 100MN Afterburner Large Shield Booster II 'Copasetic' I Particle Field Acceleration Ballistic Deflection Field II Ballistic Deflection Field II Heat Dissipation Field II Heat Dissipation Field II Cap Recharger II
'Arbalest' Siege Missile Launcher, Mjolnir Torpedo 'Arbalest' Siege Missile Launcher, Mjolnir Torpedo 'Arbalest' Siege Missile Launcher, Mjolnir Torpedo 'Arbalest' Siege Missile Launcher, Mjolnir Torpedo Mega Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Multifrequency L Mega Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Multifrequency L
Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I
Ogre II x2 Hammerhead II x2 Hobgoblin II x1
I threw it into a Serpentis Blockade L4 and it did pretty good all things considered.
I've experimented with other builds using webbers and painters since it has plenty of mid slots but based on my experiences with the machariel painting and webbing targets and then hitting them with torpedoes only has a nominal effect on damage. ____________________

Why not warp into another persons "missioning area" and jamm THEM?
...and warp scramble while they have all the aggro.

If you have necessary skills you might use something like this....then again if you have that much skills you probably have a raven already.

X-Large Shield Booster II Shield Boost Amplifier II Shield Boost Amplifier II Invulnerability Field II Invulnerability Field II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II

Only reason to use a scorpion in a mission would be for the tank, but after the rokh got released it would be... well.. stupid.
