Fallout 1 and 2 and tactics are probably some of my fav games of all time, from the moment in fallout 1 where you leave the vault with a 10mm pistol and are told to check the settlement to the east, to the final blow in fallout 2 where you kill that mega-mutant guy voiced by michael dorn, to the tricks and traps and excessive use of .50 cal browning machineguns in fallout tactics.... been there and done all that and loved it to bits.
here is where you prolly expect me to call fallout 3 the devil etc ruining the franchise but its not, its a modern, fun and entertaining interpretation of the fallout universe, while it has a few too many similarities with oblivion I can live with it, Oblivion was a fun game too and its too bad it got slated by all the morrowind purists because I dont think it deserved it, fallout 3 is getting the same treatment it seems, which I believe it doesnt deserve at all
Fallout 3 is the first game to grab my attention and keep me playing since quite a while, the settings are good, the weapons are good, it FEELs like fallout should feel.

Hm, I stopped playing Fallout 3 within a week of getting it but I'm still coming back to Mount & Blade all the time. It's awesome, e.g. killing an enemy while he is on the horse and watching him lie dead on the horse, then the horse moves a bit and he slides down slowly... I wish I had written it myself. ;-)
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming

I have been waiting for Fallout 3 for like 2 years now. Ever since I found out that Bethusda was making it I was excited. I loved Fallout 1, 2 and other games by Black Isle studios with a similar sense of humor like Planescape Torment. I think that Fallout 3 is a lot like Oblivion, but where Oblivion Fails, Fallout 3 shines.
Fallout 3 is all the realism and awesomeness that Oblivion was "supposed" to be but never really was. I have beaten the game 3 times now and I plan on running through it again when I get back from vacation. I think I have still not found everything in the game.
The other thing I have noticed, people who never touched Fallout 1.2. or tactics are picking up copies of Fallout 3 because it is the best RPG of the year. And one of the best RPG's to come out in a long time.
The story is great, the graphics are beautiful, the depth is stupendous, the hilarity of the universe is still there with Bullet Decapitations, junkies, slavers, beggars, punk kids, drugs, and giant mutant bugs trying to kill you at every turn.
Anyways. I give Fallout 3 a solid 6/10 :p Just kidding 11/10! Booya. -Vene Vidi Vice |

Well, since someone else bumped this thread back to front page:
Bought this game a couple weeks ago, has been consuming all my free time. It. Is. Awesome.
Melee combat is a bit bugged, but other than that, can't think of much to complain about.

Yeah double bump. I went for a small arms/big guns combo so I could use FATMAN!!! Seriously, how can anyone possibly complain about a game that has man portable, shoulder mounted Nuke Lobbers! M.P.S.M.N.L Or mepshmenal! for short. -Vene Vidi Vice |

My brother who has troubles since a stroke at young age loves this game. Its basically a FPS game you can pause to line up targets and plan around next steps. The feel of fallout with different twist on combat makes this game win in my book. The .44 lever action rocks in this game.
