I wasnt sure if this was a bug originally. Just thought my comp was losing it. You warp in somewhere, e.g. a station, and dont see any ships round it or see them on auto. But...there there.. They show on range scanner, just not close. They can fire at you and hurt you, but you dont see them?
Why does this happen, and can i do anything about it?

I told you, repackage your ship.. that's the only fix.

it eventually came back, but when it went i was in 0.0 space and it was almost messy
