Tried this a few months ago and didn't have any luck, so I figured I'd give it a shot again. I have returned to Eve many times and each time I have ended up departing because I just simply cannot find anyone to "fly" with due to them being a disgruntled vet, or something of the like.
I am looking for someone who would be willing to throw one of those extended trials my way and would be willing to either "fly" with me, or hang out and sort of show me the ropes. I want to find myself a good established corp so I can work my way into this great community that Eve has to offer. I just seem to be having bad luck each time I try because I can't seem to find anyone who is patient enough to teach me how to fly. I am not asking to be carried, or babied. Just "mentored". I have all the voice programs, I have been playing MMO's for a decade and Eve is the only MMO that I ever constantly try coming back to. It's just so alluring to me because I love space so much.
So if anyone out there is interested in recruiting a very dedicated pilot who wants to learn the ways of space. Please reply to this or shoot this character an in game mail.
I would very much so like to play this game on a more permanent, and frequent basis however playing completely and utterly alone is not enjoyable.
Fly safe, and prosper.

You can hang out in my channel if you want and ask anything you need. I might not be able to actually fly with ya as I live in a wormhole but I'm not the only friendly person in the channel. =D

There are many corps out there looking to take in people with low sp / little experience, so I'd advise looking in the corp recruitment section for one.
If there is anything you need to know about the game (that can be read) I'd consult http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Main_Page or search the forums. Although I have no experience with them, you could even look into joining the Eve University, it's whole thing is looking after and training new pilots.
Good luck out there |

Aside from dedicated training corps like EVE Uni, you'll probably need to figure out what you want to do and look for someone/a corp doing something like that.
My corp does lowsec PVP/faction warfare and if you were interested in that aspect of the game then I could invite you to the weflyrifters public channel. It probably wouldn't be very helpful if you, for example, wanted to get into trading. |

Eve Uni does also have a mentor program (at least it did when I was there) so be sure to check that out. Also don't forget to mention that you're a returning character during recruitment if that's the way you decide to go.
Of course feel free to spam me with eve mail if you would like a specific person to bounce a question off of.
Also I can wholeheartedly say that joining a newly formed newbie corp and getting stuck in is tremendous fun as well, you won't much high level eve experience/training but you'll certainly make friends and learn important lessons (like even CEOs commit corp thefts >.<). |

1. Join highsec corp via recruitment channel. 2. Find out that mining is boring. Mission running is also boring. 3. Get wardec'd 4. Try and fight back only to find your new friends are chicken. 5. Watch corp die. 6. Find real corp and have fun.
Thats really all the mentoring you need. Enjoy! http://reduplication.wordpress.com/category/explore-low-sec/ http://reduplication.wordpress.com/category/live-low-sec/ http://mrsnypes.blogspot.com/2010/07/burnt-lands.html

While it sounds cynical it's truth, take the time to find a proper, active and non-idiot corp. There's many bad ones out there.
If you want a helping hand and some "guidance" I'm more than happy to help out, my corp doesn't recruit but I help a lot of folks explaining stuff, doing practises and whatnot. Just convo or mail me if you want. Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.

Hello Salriah,
Welcome (back) to EvE Online. As has been said before, EVE University is a good Corporation to look into when you are learning what feels right for you in EVE Online. If you are just looking for someone to fly with, I'm always up for some fun, plus I get to know new people.
The corp I'm in mainly does Industrial stuff, with regular mining fleets where we tend to live. But we're not afraid to shoot stuff if it comes to that. If you want, you can always eve-mail me should you have any questions about the corp I'm in, or eve in general. |

Depending on what your interested in, many nullsec corps are looking for new players. My corp for instance has a training corp on the side for newer players. |
