How about a thread where people contribute one thing they wish they knew when they were knew?
I'll start.
I wish I knew I could control click items in the overview to lock them. "Isk is cheap. Life is cheaper. This week, there's a sale on both." Battle Asses, Whasssuuup? |

i wish i had known that when traveling from stargate to stargate, that you dont have to find the yellow one in the sky, you just have to right click and open the stargate drop down menu
it took me like 3 weeks to figure out i could do that _____________________ *warp drive acti...wait, where are we going?*

That bookmarks can save a buttload of time.
That the assets tab is invaluable.
That it's possible to manually reload while out in space.

Also, that various drone commands can be set in the shortcut menu. Would have saved me 20.000 clicks and lots of drones. -------------------------------------------------- If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles - Sun Tzu |

I wish I had started playing earlier, I was in beta but back then it was so crap I just forgot about it alltogether. At the same time I wish I never started playing in the first place :P

Edited by: Mithos Victus on 30/10/2008 16:34:14 There is a compare function that allows you to compare different versions of the same model (i.e. Carbine versus Compressed railguns) but I am sure most newer people do not know, you can also compare very different items.
- Open show info on an item
- Hold the shift key and open show info on another item
- You now have two show info windows side by side
- Collect tears of rookie joy in bottle
- Profit
I honestly played the game for five months before I was let on to this. Rolled a second account and noticed someone nonchalantly mention it in rookie help.
the learning... it NEVER ends...

I nice little ore thief taught me that lesson.
Also, that I could just open my GSCs within my hauler rather than jetting them out into space and I could shift click all of them. I used to jet them (5 total) one by one with the 3 minute timer between each jettison. ________________________________________________ When 900 years you reach, look as good you will! |

That there's an easier way to find new agents instead of pressing f10 and trying to search the Star Map. Select show info on your event agent. Select his corp icon, then the Alliance Icon when you get to the corp screen. Switch the tab over to member corps, select one by pressing show info and select agents tab. Then all you have to do is select set destination to find the closest to you.
