Frequently i'm searching "show info" screens, hunting for meta lv4 items that i want to sell. It would be nice if i could sort my inventory based on meta level, or if each icon would have a symbol showing the level...
I was thinking... tech2 items have a golden II in the corner
Why not Tech1 items with a meta level should show a blue I with a number?

I was just saying this in modules trade channels last weekend and again in alliance today.
I want this badly.
1. Good for inventors when looking for a decent base item to add.
2. Great for learning the names of items for noobs.
3. Helps you sell or reprocess items accordingly.

yes very good idea, was thinking about that 1 week ago coz it's boring to look all the time at 'variations' tool to know level some little "1/4" for n-type hardner for example or 1/1 for 'notos' smartbomb would be very cool

Even though I have nothing of interest in my hangar, I love this idea. I want it. I want it NOW.
All of this is moot, though, because this game has a serious lack of space whales. |

Also I would think that checking the info on a module causes more calculations and stress to the servers ;) Less lag!!!

I totally agree that there needs to be an additional column to sort items by. I don't see small tag images for meta levels being used but when viewing a group of items in list mode there should be useful columns to sort by.
Meta filtering should have been included from day one.
It is painful to work through a hangar full of loot from missions looking for meta 4 or higher items in a sea of low meta level parts about to be reprocessed.

I would assume as much also.
One of the main reasons I and I am sure many people have 30,000 items in 200 locations is, they can't find the time to right click and view market details on each and every item. Meta grade determines value. It will eliminate the need to check large groups of items.

actually... adding one more thing to what it needs to query for the overview/inventory list could create more lag (as what is in the "attributes" tab is most likely a separate table & would require another query, or at least another join).
I'm not in CCP, but if I were creating a table it would be put separately as it isn't necessary for all items (not all items have a metalevel) |
