Drones seem to go after random targets once their designated targets have been destroyed.
I have so far seen drones go for fellow gangmates and asteroids after the NPC's they were assigned to destroy was destroyed....
And now drones went for a gangmate after a station was taken over.
Plz fix

Heavy drones (mainly wasps).
Could be to do with the missiles from guristas, but i don't see why the drones attack non-guristas because of this?
Seems like they need to vent if they were damaged during the fight....

Drones will go after whatever is locked... active or not, hostile or not.

Edited by: Meridius on 03/07/2004 00:21:06 I had the same thing happen to me using them on a corpm8. When he docked (still under fire) the drones got attacked by sentries (i assume they did something to provoke this action), and then the sentries attacked me
Luckily that is the night were sentrys were broke ________________________________________________________

Seen it too. My wasps need to be kept on a short leash lest they take out their agressions on a roid they find offensive. (Usually veldspar)

Drones should only attack what has recently been aggressive to their owner. So if they are attacking something and finish then move onto a new target it is because that target either did damage to something you own or did an offensive action towards you.
Going off and attacking asteroids, now that is strange. -- Richard CCP Programmer. Anything said above is not the official line, but my own take or opinion. |

Well, can't you please turn this off for gangmates and corpmates? If you really want to attack them, you should need to tell your drones to do so.

Yeah, drones should only attack the target you want them to.
I dislike it when you are under attack from frigates, you deploy drones, and each drone has a different target.
Stop them auto-attacking and wait for our command, plz.

um? Josh, that'd make them useless for serveral occasions.
If I deploy drones, I don't want them to wait until I have locks to fire, to start with....

I consider this broken. Drones should only attack what I specify. They should NOT fly off attacking everything in sight. Also, I find Lickspittle's statement to be untrue. I've come under attack many times by groups of NPCs and launched my drones only to watch them orbit me endlessly until they are told to attack something. Then they attack like I would expect but after the first target is destroyed they automatically lock the next NPC and go after it even if it has not fired a single shot at me. Sometimes this is not desirable and getting them to stop attacking is like calling a starving dog off of a freshly grilled T-Bone steak. |

Will make them useless as defence in case of jamming if that happens.
Just make them not respond to agression from corp / gang mates.

If I'm mining and use my drones to kill a spawn, they will always attack the nearest Scordite roid after the target is dead. Its really wierd, they just HATE scordite.

you wont get any help on this issue. my drones attacked a sentry costing me my bs after a target was destroyed "a target i have destroyed within sentry range many many many times with no problems with guns." i filed a petition and the reponce i got was well maybe one of the sentries were just not hitting you well. this is bunk because if one stations sentry is shooting at you all are, and they show big flashing red boxes when they are mad at you "hard to miss" its a bug and it needs to be fixed. put the nerf bats down for a while and fix all the damn bugs, its getting to the point where you cant leave the station without the real possiblility of losing your ship to some bug that seems to get ignored because its not supposed to happen, this is one of them. _______________________________________________
