i really hope you get your stuff back mate.... but i doubt it. CCP will be stubborn and stick to there guns (very wrong as its clearly there fault)
It seems the only way to not screw your gameplay up is .... well to not play the gamem as in its current state its unplayable. Obviously CCP will be adding a few more days to everyones accounts to make up for this ... something like a week extra atm seeing as these problems which are seriously affecting the gameplay have been around for atleast 7 days !!
Its about time this was sorted, and before anyone says im whining and to stfu ... no i wont, im a paying customer who has a right to express his opinion.

The worst part of this is he was podded. The system sent him an evemail I believe that said he self destructed which doesn't make any friggen sense. The ship was plat insured by the corp yet all Atomic got was a 40% default insurance payout. He also lost a full set of implants. I could see CCP saying sorry if it was just a problem with HIS connection to CCP , but we have 4 people in the same gang have the same lag/lack of module activation response. We had more than enough people and equipment to hunt safely and what ever happened on the server caused Atomic's death. The right thing to do is to reimburse his ship and character to the point before the incident occurred....

You don't see Everquest doing crap like that. Start treating your customers with some respect or you are going to start seeing canceled accounts...

i had the same problem (insurance only paying the 40%).. just petition it as exploit and you get the rest of the insurance (but not your ship/modules/implants)

i had the same problem (insurance only paying the 40%).. just petition it as exploit and you get the rest of the insurance (but not your ship/modules/implants)

Same thing happend with us when we where hunting in providence, we had 2x750k bs's and a bunch of cannibals in the belt with us. None of us could fire our guns, launch drones etc. The NPC's did fire on us hapily though. Resulted in one lost raven and a dmg'ed Mega. The whole node crashed or seemed to, logged on a bit later. Managed to tuck tail and get out of there. Drones that we tried to launch earlier had somehow popped out when we logged back on. Corp mate got mail about he had "self destructed". CUTE 
Anyhow, file a petition under reinbursment. Such happens outside the players control. Imho, as CCP isnt able to provide the service we pay for (at the momment) at least they should reinburst lost ships due to severhickups etc that is outside the players control. When you file a petition under reinbursment, wse a civil tone and approach

have been getting insane lag any time i try to pvp, i now have to avoid getting into any pvp situation as i completely lag out like you did in that belt.. strange thing is that its fine fighting npcs for the most part.... accept when the servers take a huge dump.... im guessing everyone feels that though.
fix the f**king servers ccp, plz.

Same thing happended to corp mate day before yesterday. Warped in, no modules activate, can't do anything, he logs off and returns to find himself podded back at his cloneing station, lost megathron and implants. Again this was fighting NPC's. Happened to me also, luckily I had managed to activate my shields booster and was able to warp out only by setting autopilot. It pretty much russian roulette ATM

This is a known bug. Yesterday i attacked a yellow box, not orange  and got wasted by sentry guns, so i closed window. Logged on to find myself in my clone station in a Velator. Read the concord-mail which summed up something like "that self-destruct button was'nt so useful afterall?" Petitioned and got answer not more than an hour later. At the same time, the stuff i lost appeared in hangar, and my clone bill was repayed :D
Think this bug happens when you log off after being attacked by npcs (Concord or rats, does'nt matter). So go read your mails, and file a "stuck" petition to get a fast response and your stuff back.

The only way to kill rats is to use drones  CCP if this is affecting a lot of ppl can we pls have a server reboot.

What is this forum thread good for? Just write a petition, NPCs are quite obviously not supposed to pod you, so to the GM processing the petition it should be quite obvious that you lost your ship to that server bug.

Ok a quick update, After a few tests we have found out that the entire system we were in was bugged, Moving to another system and back did not resolve,
So Just relocated and am fine now I am a bit happier but this is not a nice bug, Especially if it happened in an important choke point
