i think it might be....the game still works and everything, just with 2 problems
1. solo roaming is hard now...the second you reach a gatecamp you die most the time 2. i find the new pvp a bit boring tbh...everything is just slower paced, it seems to just be more of activate tank > f1f2f3 etc > wait > repeat if not already dead...i want the fast paced nano action that i love back :(

Just for the record ive actually just gone and Re subbed my account for 6 months :)
hmm maybe i should create a new alt called ...Devils Advocate.
Forums can be such entertaining things :)
My opinion is that change is very good for MMO's it changes our game experience and keeps the game play fresh. After all why do we pay too play every month if we wanted everythign too stay the same ?
I thought the idea of pay monthly games was that we pay to have our game world grow and evolve and change and entertain us and enthrall us and thats Exactly what eve does Very very well.
LONG LIVE EVE ONLINE.
Also hurry up with the Ambulation patch please My legs are getting achy in this POD
So here you go Grammar Police ... enjoy teh discetion.

Eves not dying, but its abandoned one of its finest traditions, the winter expansion extraviganza in favour of stuffs they where already doin anyway and passing it off as a full expansion for dev-knows what reason. This is officially the smallest patch they have ever done in terms of content.
I too am dissapointed in the Quantum Patch.

Originally by: zombe queen Seems like theres lots of reasons why we "should" be excited about the arrival of a new patch; but hidden amongst the details of the comming patch are lots of reasons why some players are thinking about selling thier pilots and heading off too new adventures inside different MMO worlds.
How do YOu feel about the comming and recent changes too the game and the pricing schemes?
How have these changes effected your opinion, enjoyment and participation of our beloved game?
As the OP i am going too keep my own opinion too my self. But i am interested too see if the scepticsm i have encountered in game when discussing the comming "speed- Nerf" and other changes too the combat mechanics of the game is prevalent amongst the wider eve community or only withing those who see Quantum Rise as a dumbing down of pvp in what has so far been teh very best pvp experience avalible in an MMO today...
Discuss...
Too may people have perhaps been accustomed to playing a certain way and have now got used to a percieved 'comfort zone' of playstyle. Well, the rules are changing and you will either have to get used to it, adopt a new style and deal with it or go play something else.
I for one quite like the changes as it keeps the game fresh and changes like this should keep us on our toes in terms of how we go about our business in Eve. If you want to play something that stays the same and is not fluid, may I suggest Tetris.
This is not a flame or a troll, I am just pretty sick of constant complaints regarding Eve and the changes that are 'in the post'. I deal with complaints for a living... I come here to escape them.

Account cancelled.
My part of providing feedback for this nerf. I hope CCP come to their senses and fix EVE, but at the moment it is no longer fun to play. -------------------------------------------------------------- Seriously, we need some kind of separation between the post and signature. There you go. Now that wasn't so hard |

All good, the hamsters are a bit shaky as always after a patch, but this patch looks good
Some things I really don't care about either way, but lots of small quality of life things
"Your stuff my hangar" to the whining nano***s and those who waste their energy on the pricing of the game

In theory, EVE could be continuously upgraded until TQ becomes powerful enough to simulate the entire universe, which would also not preclude developing a physical storage and processing unit that could persist to/through the end of the universe. So there's no reason EVE would ever have to die.
In theory, anyway.
So. When are the Vogons coming?
And now we know why CCP employs hamsters. It's to get staff for the white mice.
And yes, the answer will be 42.

Edited by: Alex Harumichi on 12/11/2008 15:24:52 I've been playing for, what, over 4 years now. It helps give perspective, and helps you adapt.
This patch contains some of the best changes for the game in a while, imho. Very glad to see (most) nanoships go, very glad to see missiles dropped to the same level (generally) as turrets. Very glad to suddenly have AFs as a viable pvp option. Lots of stuff.
Less iWin invulnerable fits. More need to switch tactics depending on situation. Me likes.
Now if only they did something about those damn Falcons. And fixed Black Ops.

Nothing wrong with Falcons or Rooks....Black-Ops are fixed. Transport ships are now Cov-Ops class and can be bridged just like any other Recon class ship...This is now the Black-Ops refueling ship and can hold enough gas to take a gang of 100 ships across the galaxy and back

Unfortunately the Cruise missile nerf makes the Stealth Bomber all but useless in the Widows gang (more so than they were before)

It appears that the vast majority of people in this thread read the title, but not the OP.
Of course it can be difficult to read more than a few words, while you are falling over each other to post tired nonsense, like extras in some forum themed zombie film.

this is the only mmorpg game i have ever played. look at the cash ccp has saved me on ever attempting to play another. as i said in the post they removed. i feel cheated and not only want all my money back but i think i deserve compensation for every min. i spent playing. this was the biggest epic fail in any game. the only thing that could make myself and tgousands of other gamers keep playing is the hope it will somehow be reversed.

have you ever considered how many players play eve online without ever setting foot on the forums or getting involved in the nerf whines? i know of a good few ex-corp mates who have played eve a long time and have never posted or read on the forums and the whole nano/missile/nerf whines are complete news to them.
Yes people will emoragequit and for every one CCP will get another new sign up who hasn't a clue what all the fuss is about.
People hated the new BMW look when it was launched, didnt stop em selling like hot cakes tho.
