Since the new patch I have lost 6 people that I know in the game. 3 quit because they lost a BS due to lag (Which everyone knows is happening even CCP) but yet CCP turn around and say they will not replace it and the others quit as they're fed up with playing a beta of what is said to be a full version of a game!
One that I know of as managed to keep him online long enough before he quit said that the gate had allowed him to jump. The gate said "now jumping" to whatever system it was. He stayed there for over a minute and in this time was pummeled by pirates and lost his ship! Why will his ship not be replaced?
This is due to lag and not the excuse that it's on the client's side as that is rubbish and an excuse all too often used!
The game is experiencing lag and EVERYONE knows this except CCP it would seem. They're quoting parts of the contract and sub-sections etc. Does the contract say what CCP will do when there is noone left playing this game because they've annoyed the hell outta everyone?
I think it's about time the game shows some leniancy towards incidents as they have said there is something like 32-35 node's/server's or whatever they are are offline constantly and should expect lag while they're fixed. They also say that no expense is being spared to get this back up and running but they cannot spare the expense that doesn't even exist in real life but in a game of a BS being replaced for an error they know is there.
Please help as I am losing corp mates and friends in game RAPIDLY. This could only then lead to me leaving along with the rest of my corp and other mates in game.
We understand the lag is there and is being worked on but some responsibilty needs to be taken on the games side of things like above mentioned, replace goods with mods. Alot of these ships had mods that cost a fotune to replace!! They've got the isk but why should they?! If they lost the stuff in a fair fight then no problem and wouldn't complain in the slightest but when it's a kill due to a gate saying that you were jumping when actually you were just sitting there watching your ship be destroyed is in no way funny or slightly amusing!
HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED A SHAKING BUG AS WELL??? I keep posting that but NEVER get a response and have lost a couple of ships, which again I've been told that I won't have replaced
No doubt I'll get some lame responses from players and alike but hopefully a response from CCP too would be nice.
Let's see this one get locked for ranting too..... How lame!

ps. "HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED A SHAKING BUG AS WELL??? I keep posting that but NEVER get a response and have lost a couple of ships, which again I've been told that I won't have replaced "
oh yeah when light missiles and heavy missiles make my battleship spin i would call a bug. Ive gotten alot of CTD however no nodes down latley wich was a problem before ..lost around 2 battleships to that bug alone. I dont even try to get my ships replaced as it almost useless in most cases. You can either go along with current situation or take some time off. I choose to go along with it and try not go bankrupt while doing it lol.

well, when enough people leave they'll respond maybe it'll be too late though. I lost a very cool bonus that would have been a bpo a cool bpo and now I can never have it. Even though proof exist that I was 1j and stuck and shortly after dropped.

Problems are getting looked at by CCP and some system techs. But iam not getting my hopes atm. Iam also hosting a TS for a view corperations and they are empty almost.
And putting the 14 day trail up at MMORPG.COM was`t a good idea atm with al the issues they have with running a stable server.
I know the game will always loose players at a surtain stage of the game its common but what i find disturbing that i not have seen some core players for some weeks now and when i contact em on TS they just tell me and ask me to make anohter game room for em.
For me its like always just looking till august then my account expires if nothing happend i gonna take anohter extended break from the game.
There are just to many items that have a little glitch or a big glitch ingame some are not even noticed.
Its not easy to maintian that kind of a data base without breaking eggs. And they broke already tomany

Yes, we lost a BS to npcs because none of our modules would activate.
I understand CCP is doing their best but it isn't very good TBH. They owe us a refund for the lst 2 weeks because honestly, this is a beta, they have stated the game will be buggy due to debugging, that is ok but I'm not gonna pay for it.
How can the server run great for 2 months then go to hell in one patch, why didn't they roll back? There have been some pretty massive screw ups in Eve and they only get worse with time. CCP will have this all fixed in like 2 more weeks and it'll be great for 2 months until they screw it up again with an un-necessary "balance/nerf fest" patch.
I used to think EA was the worst game developer but now I'd have to give that distinct title to CCP. I would not suggest this game to anyone, UT2K4 will give you more enjoyment for the dollar.

hmm...this is interesting. On the forum i constantly see threads like this about how terrible the lag is and everything, but in game in the nearly 3 months i've been playing i've experianced lag once. none of my corp buddies (theres only 4) have experianced lag more than once either. The one time we did was all at the same time and there was an announcemt that it might be laggy for abit, so we just went and browsed escrow...Am I in the minority here? Do most people lag badly? Also, i havn't really noticed anyting bad in the last patch. Granted that i've only really played on this one, and i am an interceptor pilot so the turret stuff isn't so bad...but my buddy in a bship hasn't had problems or anything...so whats the deal? I do have a very high end comp and good dsl if that makes a difference.... _______________________________________________________

having played mostly 24/7 whenever i could after the patch.. no, haven't had no bugs that would have somehow stopped me from playing. in fact as far as i'm concerned, i'm having less and less lag in every possible thing, from opening people&places, to loading systems after warp, to battles. i don't miss with 425mm's and, well, if you get pummeled by pirates after a gate jump, unless its some kind of 0.0 thing with cruisers (gasp) and you lose your ship in a minute... try a battleship next time. the only problem with the patch i have had are the whiners for whine for the sake of whining. hell, 75% of the whiners on the forums aren't getting stuck or losing ships to node crashes (free hint for you: if your node crashes, the npc's stop too.).. my corp mates aren't quitting, they aren't complaining about the alleged patch created problems, not even the new people who don't know the golden rule of 'don't play on the patch day' and so on. if you are losing friends in games rapidly, well, how about keeping in contact with them if you are friends? the only way your corporation communicates and keeps up with people is your in-game corp channel? you talk about you understand the lag, right. if you had any kind of idea about distributed server software, or stabbing SQL on top of it, or whatever the ******* black magic it is they use, why are you whining? if you understood it, you'd either cancel your account or remain silent because you understand why there may be problems. not that anyone has any idea what the problems are. replace goods with mods? what the hell, you want lollipop items on the market to make up for your and your corporation's losses? "Alot of these ships had mods that cost a fotune to replace!!" free hint 2: don't go into battle with the best and most rare modules you have. have i experienced a shaking bug? no, not in the 24/7 hours since the patch i have been on. wait, this could only then lead to you leaving along with the rest of your buddies... you're paying a monthly subscription to the game to stick around with your buddies who don't play the game anymore? wait, you're only wondering if the ships of your buddies that aren't even playing anymore are gonna be replaced, you haven't lost anything yourself. except buddies that don't play anyway, that is.
also, to the guy above, EA doesn't develop games. they publish and distribute games. its not EA's fault a lot of the stuff they 'publish' is just total crap - not beyond them actually taking these companies under their wings.
disclaimer: sorry for the whine, but could people please cry a bit more? maybe we can make a river out of all the tears and drown in it together.

Before patch 8 hours aday most days, for a few days after patch 8 hours aday woot these new npc's are cool, for last 2 weeks.god its so long since I played windows solitare. Nuff said.
I agree last 2 weeks is a ajoke quoting the eula for all this crap is imo just a easy way of CCp telling us all to go (Bleep) ourselves.
I have not renewed one of my accounts so far and will see about renewing this one also, am sick of this lag and debugging a server while its active is just the most lame thing in the world, if your going to do it tell everyone in advance you are going to do it for next 2 weeks and then your going to add 2 weeks to all peoples accounts and then after the debugging just roll the game back the 2 weeks, stops all the petitions ect and lets you debug your live server. makes more sense to me but then again people never take the easy steps to fix problems imo.
My 2 cents

I know a few people who have basically said "sod this" in the last week or so. They might be back and they might not - I doubt they will as CCP have used up all the goodwill they might have had
I suspect that CCP have discovered something which many of us already knew about MSSQL - it doesn't scale like it says on the tin. Assuming that is the case then get yourselves ready for sharding.....

Our corp has had a lot of older members playing even more, as well as new members. Most of us put in 6 + hours a day and all agree we have had some WICKED play in the last month.
Its all in the way you play the game, If you get stuck in a rut, you WILL get bored. go do something new, I guarantee itll help.

Yeah, I understand that they have to debug and whatnot... but why paying for it? You have to draw the line between whats CCP's responsibility and what we should put up with.
Unfortunately, most of the software you buy doesn't guarantee that it works, you buy it "as is", meaning **** happens. Im not all too sure how the EULA and all that is formulated, never read it too closely. --
