The Veldnaught.
First in a thread that I've changed into a Chribba thread! Drones are like puppies... disobedient and just as hard to housebreak. |

Well a Rokh is larger in size but I dont know what kind of yield it would give compared to a Hulk, you wont find a dedicated mining ship bigger than a Hulk though.
Yet.

Don't hold your breath. CCP has gone on record several times saying that introducing a bigger, better miner is actually contrary to their plans. Check the Science and Industry forum for more complete information.

Max yield - Hulk, fitted for mining yield. Largest ship that can mine - Titan. (Not the brightest thing to do with one, but....) Largest ship known to mine regularly in high-sec - Revelation dreadnaught in the Amarr system (IBTC -In Before The Chribba)
The Devs have stated a few times that any Capital Mining ship (IF they put one out) would NOT be munching on 'roids, but rather on some new resource. _______________________________

Yep Veldnaught is the biggest mining ship currently out there unless some lunatic has fitted a titan with miners.
These of course are ridiculous ways of trying to mine and a hulk will mine much better. -=^=- "Someday the world will recognize the genius in my insanity." |

from some wierd calculations on battleclinic. I believe a maxed out Mommy with 25 mining drones can outmine a hulk.

They used to, but this was clearly overpowered and nerfed soon thereafter. Parrots, commence!

Okay, the damn boards ate my post again.
I'm really getting sick and tired of having to log in every time I quote someone or every time I try to post a reply that takes me longer than 2 minutes to write.
To recap the boring crap.
Titans are the largest mining capable ships in the game.
Motherships are the largest ones that aren't automatic fail-mails for getting suicide ganked if they're in a belt mining since them being in a belt period is likely an automatic fail-mail and the mining doesn't affect it
The Veldnaught's the largest active miner
The rokh's the largest practical miner since it can fit 8 T2 lasers and 4 T1 upgrades with just a T2 CPU booster and a DG CPU booster gets you tackle gear for can flippers.
The machariel, however, is the largest sub-cap mining capable ship as it's model is over twice the size of the rokh's.
The largest dedicated mining ship is, of course, the hulk.
The reason you can't mine with a rorqual is non-existant. It gets up to a 200% bonus to drone hitpoints, which includes mining drones, so you can use 5 T2 mining drones to pick up some veldspar or something while those hulks get real ore for you to crunch.
This post was brought to you by the letter "God I have a headache" and the number "I'm up way too late" and was reposted under the spirit of "I refuse to let CCP's web-site problems keep me from posting this drivel. ____________________
