It's very awkward how sometimes a mission bonus for completing it quickly will be a good chunk of change, and then the very next mission, it could be 90 units of toxic waste. What kind of reward is that?
"Excellent job! You completed the mission in amazing time! Here's our toxic waste. Umm.... dispose of it I guess."
While I don't mind getting small arms or a useful commodity, I feel cheated every time I get a few hundred tons of garbage as a reward. Especially when I could've gotten 20k isk instead of it.

Edited by: shifting on 04/07/2004 16:37:01 you wouldn't be complaining if you got a few hundred tons of garbage and sold all of it for 0.8-1 isk/piece.
btw, there are demand orders for garbage on the forge region ranging from 2.05isk/piece to 9.05isk/piece.

Toxic waste, garbage, that sort of thing are trade goods and are usually worth quite a bit. Either find a buying NPC station yourself or put them up for sale, a trader will pick em up eventually ( if you do it at a sane price ). ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

Here's the thing though. I pick up about 90 tons of toxic waste for a time bonus on average. Even if I sell that for 30 each (Not likely), that's only 2700isk. Now, for the same mission, I might've gotten a 14000isk time bonus instead. That's a lot more money, and I get it immediately, so I don't have to wait the week+ for someone to pick up the toxic waste.
It's just that the rewards aren't consistent at all, and generally, it's more of a hassle to sell the toxic waste than it's worth, so I just trash it.

Nope they're not consistant, but IIRC ( been a while ) toxic waste is worth a spot more then that. Anyway it's a BONUS, not standard pay. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |
