Get a job you lazy bum. I bet you live on the dole too.
2 hours a month at US minimum, last I checked here in Chicago it was a little over $7 IIRC.
Minimum wage isn't the same everywhere. Some states use the minimum national minimum wage. Some states (Oregon, California, etc) have a higher minimum wage. Some states (New Mexico, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Alabama - possibly Georgia) actually have a minimum wage that is LOWER than the national minimum wage.
Also, you didn't take into account taxes.

EVE online is, contrary to popular belief, just a silly computer game.
Sometimes things can get in the way of computer games. Like paying for food.

2 hours of work per month at minimum wage. Less than one hour for a decent job. For most Eve is less than a half hour of work a month. Get an education. Then get a job.

Well the computer does have that silly power requirement so the electric bill should have first priority. Then internet. Then EVE. Then food. Maybe water.

Ok I had to respond to this moron. I am 25 years old with a good job. But this is a GAME. Which i have a problem with spending that kind of money on a month.
Lol. You're whining about spending a a quarter a day to play a game. That's 1.3 cents per hour you're awake and you're whining. My God. DIAF.

Originally by: Chimii Lecto What people tend to forget is that EvE is now launching its 8th free expansion... Other MMO's charge you even for just getting the game.
What you, in turn, might be forgetting, is that what Eve often calls an "expansion" is equivalent to a free content patch in other games...

Hey mate, I understand.
I had to trim back to one account last year due to economic circumstances. I just don't have the time to farm enough isk to pay for the game using isk.

I quit smoking cigarettes so I could afford to play this game with four accounts. This is a true story.

The haven't lost any money on people canceling alts paid for in isk because one month of game time now costs 275 mil ISK instead of 130 mil ISK it used to cost. Because remember you aren't paying for sub with cash in the first place so whether you cancel your account that you used ISK to pay for does not subtract anything from CCP's income.
Where CCP has lost money is with less and less people buying GTCs for sale nowadays. Just take a look at the GTC forum. There are 20 WTB posts made there to 1 WTS post. It used to be the other way around. Way fewer players are buying game time to resell for ISK right now. The of course they might lose money on the ghost training nerf, although it is not clear here how amount of closed and subscribed accounts over this will balance out.
