I'm selling more than 100 modules at around 400k and there are many other sellers also selling this module with price going up gradually to the highest being around 600k. Now my wallet blinks, i check to see what i sold and see the 400k module, however, it sold for 600k.
Now i'm not complaining :) and I've checked and double checked to make sure what i was selling and im pretty sure i have it right, anyone have an idea what this is about?

Working as intended. You have the lowest sell order in the station, however whoever is buying the mod is buying from an order above yours. They get your mod, and you receive the money from the high priced mod. Neat huh?

Yup, it just gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside when you sell something for far more than you intended to :)
Those brokers do sometimes earn their pay :)

Any broker would have kept the 200k difference.

In the real world, yes, but in the world of EVE where pod pilots throw around amounts of money that begger the imagination as compared to workingday Joe's income? Where mercs and pirates regularly violate all sorts of laws to blow people up in secure space?
If I were a broker in EVE, I'd keep my books damn tight when working with pod pilots. The alternative would probably be to find yourself in a cargo container on a courier run to Blood Raiders space Well, I've said my piece - wait, is that Veldspar over there? Woot! |
