I vote for rebooting the servers once a week, or perhaps once a month like some of the other MMORPG's I used to play.

They didn't run on windows. If it wasn't needed they wouldn't be doing it, rest assured. Two reasons to do it at the time it is now. 1) the people doing it are at work. 2) not many people playing the game ( compaired to other available time slots for 1 ) ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

They've said a lot of things, things change. And sometimes they just don't. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

Originally by: Deidre Merapuni I would also propose to start the Downtime, about 2h sooner. As ist is now, the player number is already increasing again .. 1h before downtime starts..
The increase in players might also be affected by the downtime: people could want to log in and do some stuff before downtime. I have done that many times to change skills so that I can use the whole downtime
So, if you moved the downtime to two hours earlier, the bump would be just before downtime.
I'm not sure if this is the case, but people logging on to play the game for a long while just before downtime doesn't seem likely.

I like the current down time... it happens to coincide exactly with my dinner time.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

That one hour is slap bang in the middle of Australian's peak time, so far I have a true disgust for CCP, when I returned I thought they would of stopped the DTs or toned them down a bit. Looks like they failed. Maybe thats the reason why some Aussies couldn't be F@#%'d playing EVE since its turned off in our prime time. (NOTE - thats a guess)
Anyways, I will stay another 3 months and see what happens, if not i will go to DnL where I am having more fun -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Came back cause I love you guys :P |

Somewhere in the world its prime time all the time. If it has to be done they should at least keep it at a consistent time (which they do) so we all know all the time when it is.
Come on guys, the majority of the time its only 20 minutes and if it is an hour? You must have something you need to do in RL.

09:00-10:00 GMT would be a better time for a downtime.
