If anything annoys me, it's people running around as if the sky is falling when they're just going from place to place or navigating a bar. Take a lorazepam and calm down. _______________________________________________ 'The illiterate of this century are not those who cannot read and write; but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.' |

Edited by: Kavin Alavandar on 08/11/2008 23:01:39 Yes, I attended the hands-on demonstration yesterday, and there were moving walkways. They're not actually working just yet, though. At least not when I was playing. I stepped onto one and it just moved under my feet while I stood still. Heh. _______________________________________________ 'The illiterate of this century are not those who cannot read and write; but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.' |

There aren't exactly long distances in stations. _______________________________________________ 'The illiterate of this century are not those who cannot read and write; but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.' |

Originally by: Jaabaa Those look awesome, but somehow I left with the feeling that CCP are using ambulation to test code for an eventual White Wolf "World Of Darkness" production.
On that line of thought, if this is the case, then it can only make EVE ambulation even better
CCP said as much a while ago, didn't they? _______________________________________________ 'The illiterate of this century are not those who cannot read and write; but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.' |

Edited by: Kavin Alavandar on 09/11/2008 00:03:01 Yeah, with what time I had to sample Ambulation, I couldn't help but constantly thinking, 'This will be perfect for the World of Darkness.' The engine just had the greatest... I don't know, weight to it. _______________________________________________ 'The illiterate of this century are not those who cannot read and write; but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.' |
