I mean this with all due respect but you don't really know what you're talking about. We try to ransom anything T2 BC and larger on a daily basis. It's our policy. We also don't just camp in Rancer, we bash POSs and go out looking for fights.
What makes a good pirate corp is most likely in the eye of the beholder. Like anything in this game. As a longtime pirate who's been around the block and been with, fought alongside or against some of the more infamous pirate corps in Eve, including m0o, I'm just baffled by some of the selections here. A lot of them actually. It's not that I think these corps aren't good, I don't think they're pirates, no matter what they're trying to roleplay as.
What I've noticed about 0.0 pilots is they think they are the top tier of PvP and they have the ability/right/obligation to judge all others. It's really quite ridiculous. I've done the 0.0 thing and 95% of the kills are equally as mundane and unchallenging as what I'm doing now. Difference is I have no illusions about what I do or where my place is.
Ill admit I agree with alot of what your sayin, but hopefully your postin with an alt .. if not, then lulz.

Well the way you were spoutin off at the mouth .. one would assume you are some veteran pirate or somthin.... but youve been in the united since breakfast (bout a month) and have a grand total of 70ish real kills with them. You make references like you have "been there, done that" , and i just found it a bit funny is all 
As for the united, seem like a good bunch of guys there, and you fellas sure the hell know how to camp a gate.

EARN was extremely small compared to some of the larger (and consequently more infamous) corporations named, but very good at what they did.

Surely by now you should know that any real/addicted/knowledgable pvper in this game have multiple characters/accounts and what have you. Also; I enjoyed your in-direct insults towards my fellow corpmate and corp. They are very familiar to the ones we hear on a daily basis when people warp away in their pods. Furthermore, I would like to signup for your newsletter. Please add me to your list.
Returning to the topic though, there is no true top 5 list unless we have a criteria to work on (i.e. most skilled/most kills/most capitals/best k/d ratios/etc). So I won't contribute but I will continue to lurk as usual since work is rather boring today.

And wouldn't K/D ratios be meaningless unless we take account of ship classes? I can go and sit in Jovainnon and farm koreans all day and at the end my kill ratio might be 100/0. Does that mean I am uber?
Basically these lists are completely pointless and serve only for gratuitous bum love and circle jerks. And it was United who came on here beating their chests....

Yes to the first question. And no to the second. I'm the wrong person you should argue with here since I more or less agree with your point of view from what I've gathered. So again, I won't contribute to this thread. I only posted earlier to stickup for my corpmate.

I see no one has mentioned a Veto Gang that had 30+ Faction Battleships roaming low-sec for over 6 hours on its 3rd anniversary.

I can agree with most of your list, however, I think you have lemon drizzle far too high. Carrots kill more people each year then lemon drizzle. Additionally, chocolate, while very dangerous to dogs, kills very few people. I think I'd have to rank pecans above chocolate.

Well, there was a deliberate mistake in my list that you didn't point out. Pecan is infact a type of pie and not cake (someone will clearly point out some obscure cake recipe with pecans now) but better luck next time!

Ya we saw that on our roam the other night. We were laughing at the scanner, saw like 21 or 22 CNR's and a bunch of other stuff. gratz on the Archon kill for your 3rd anniversary though.

The united isn't the only pirate corp I've been with, it's just the most recent. I joined them after taking the summer off from the game. I've been doing piracy since 2005. Off and on of course. I've taken some breaks and I've also done the 0.0 thing a few times in between pirate corps. But yes, I'd definitely consider myself a veteran pirate and I know many others would as well. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying I don't suck. But I have been around awhile.

I never said you were a bad pilot, not a veteran pirate, or anything remotely close, all I said was that the way you worded it I got the impression that you had been with the united for a long time, when in fact you just joined them.

Alot of people are including pirate corps from way back in the day, that broke up or are inactive. But I would definately give props to

Are the old guys from M0o, teddies, etc belonging on this list, nah.. They belong on memorial plaque in a system named tortuga. It was a different age back then. It was the golden age of piracy, before a geddon with 8 plates could hot drop a dozen+ cap ships on your pirate gang, or the enemy could jump bridge a blob behind your guys in a moments notice of sneaking into thier space. Before dictor bubbles and 5 rapiers and falcons blocked the entrances to the good pipes in 0.0 from the solo pirate looking for some money to make ends meet. Before constellation sov, and stations in almost every decent system in alliance held space, making it near impossible to probe out the rats before they could just dock up. Times have changed, whether better or for worse, but the golden age of piracy is over. Its time to pick up the pieces and put on our Somali ninja pirate hats
Death to the infidels, and to those with more money than us and are too stupid to warrant keeping it. Durka Durka etc, etc.
Really just props to any of the pirate corps out there, that are mature, organized, and still slug it out from low-sec. Its not that easy to make a living with cloaky t2 haulers, jump bridges, black ops, rorquals, jump freighters etc. etc... I really dont think CCP likes pirates, and would rather we go away peacefully like the dodo bird. Adapt and kill moar. I know our kill board tends to have 75%+ of the kills etc in 0.0 just because its so much safer than lowsec now, its relatively unpopulated.
