What did you think about the Fanfest this year, what was good so we don't change it, what was bad and where can we improve it for next year? Please share it all in this forum thread. We'd also like to thank everyone who came and made this the best Fanfest to date; we hope we get to see you all next year. We also hope that those of you who couldn't make it this year will come as well, and help next year be even better! Massive Thanks to all involved in planning, execution and clearup, sterling job was done by all and it showed. {stevie gets another mention in here for costume design, just remember, moar boobies next year plstnx } Especial thanks to Veto (and our additional party members) Kudos to the very very pretty girl in the middle bar who when faced with a wad of isk and the request "this many beers please" didnt even blink and just lobbed 2 cases of tuborg at us. SUPER kudos goes to the barman in cafe cultura who stopped charging me for my drinks after about the third 10000 isk round, vote for that place as official fanfest 2009 bar. It was great to hang out with some of the people I met last year and even better to meet 5 of my corpmates (James Damar, Mineswallower, Breaka, Abadyn, Olav). I quite enjoyed meeting some new faces and putting some faces to some familiar names as well. grin I especially had fun talking pew pew with Eddz and other KIA / NC / GS / whatever other huge numbers of alliances are currently fighting TRI. I know there are alot more people with pics out there and I can't wait to see them! It was great to meet so many old friends and new faces. It was an epic party on Saturday. WiS is going to be fanfestic, er, fantastic. I'm really looking forward to being human and not just a ship. I particularly enjoyed "Speakeasy," the live-action play. That was a neat departure from last year's story-telling session. Not that the '07 session wasn't enjoyable, but this year's was much more fun. I only wished that there were more talks on more topics - seemed like '07 had more information. But all of the talks I attended had great information in them, so maybe more would have actually been less. Many thanks to CCP for putting on another excellent gathering! -static zero

So no Northern Lights for me. Thanks to all the great people I met - from Aegis Militia, Namtz' aar K'in, Foundation, Veto, Orange Alliance, Veto; and CCP CoffeeCup (a hero!), CK (easiest man to find at the party, just look for the guy with the 4 cutest girls hanging off him, Alienhand, and all members of the Grand Hotel Social Collective. CCP you throw a great party. Lastly I enjoyed getting out of the city and seeing some of Iceland. 2 areas of feedback. 1. What happened to the gian TV screens at the party from last year showing all the EVE movines? These were great the last time. 2. While I am aware that the guy who does the trancy style music is famous it was nearly putting our group to sleep. maybe a shorter or no set next year. In saying this ROXOR brought us all back to life Fantastic job in arranging the Fanfest, each person involved in the set-up should give themselves a pat on the back Rgds Belz

It was first Fanfest for me and it was actually above my expectations. The only boring time i had was during sleep:) Missions were awesome (minmatar food anyone?). Gratz to all Caldari pilots, that we won lvl5 with! And to the guy, who created the BPO. Never thought i'd actually manufacture a Villard wheel Drinking parties every evening was fun. I understand there was a presentation about tech 3 for example, but I have no idea what was included in this. Recent info from CCP Zulupark contained many many 'wait for fanfest' items but one week later I am still wondering what was revealed (besides some players' underpants).

Right, because anyone can go to Fanfest if they make time - it's not like it costs money or means leaving work or family. It's nice for you to have an in-person experience, it doesn't become better by denying other people the chance to see it on TV. Well, maybe it does for you but that says something about your maturity level. Unless there is a high cost for CCP to stream it in real time (which would increase ticket prices) I see no reason to keep it secret/hold it back.

Icelandic beer at the Fest, not Fosters or Heineken, neither of which I would drink in the UK unless there was nothing else left. []A short list of the hotels and their facilities/star rating - I wouldn't stay at the Cabin Hotel again, rooms are too small for example. []List of the decent bars in Rekavik, published in advance of the event. [*]A customs stamp at the Eve shop counter, so that we could get our Tax refunds at the airport.
