Is your DirectX uptodate? There should be DirectXRedist.exe in the bin folder to install it. If you could run that and let me know if you have any more luck getting in. Additionally, if you could copy and paste the errors, to here or pastebin.com for example, then we can look into what went wrong. the 'old faithful' launcher, you know the one that patched the game and didn't break, did exactly what it was designed to do, patch and not disrupt logging in. this new launcher has to be run to patch the game, as the bin exe method wont patch by it self. so you saying the 'old faithful' way is actually a lie as you removed the working way(old faithful) and replaced it with a broken bit of software. the bin exe is a work around for broken by design software. OMG when can i get a pic here

Chloe Celeste UNITAS. 44	Posted - 2013.09.03 13:40:00 - [487] - Quote I had an issue where I first started the Eve Online Launcher and it completely downloaded the patch file for Odyssey 1.1 (750 MB) and then did not run the patch file and just stopped at Step 3. I then closed down the Eve Online Launcher and started the program again. It did re-download the patch file but after download was complete it applied the patch file in Step 3 this time and I haven't had any issues since. I was able to log into the game and everything seems to be normal. Just thought I'd post this to help others to try it this way as I did not download any patch file manually or have to do anything outside of running the Eve Online Launcher.

3dward Scissorhands 2	Posted - 2013.09.03 17:18:00 - [490] - Quote I have tried every method possible known to this forum but i am out of option and luck, i think that if someoen posted the link to the manual launcher download, that have seem to help in the past. recently y deleted all the cache folders in the directory and restarted the pc, when i log again i launch the eve.exe from bn and it detected the 6mb download, i proceed and now it is stuck again in the 6/7 downloading patch initializing and it just do nothign more.

Next time please just tell people beforehand that the launcher 1) might not work with manual patching and 2) will delete downloaded patchfiles. I feel bad for all the people who pay by gigabyte and got screwed over by the launcher deleting completely fine patch files.

Thank good i am not crazy and the only 1 with this problem. 50mb connection here.
