The crow is now totally useless, because light missiles can longer any targets at the same range you would orbit a target to keep a warp disruption point on your target. Way to go CCP for screwing up things that work, and giving us more useless ****. " You will pay the price for your lack of vision." |

Has it lost the ability to perma-run a MWD and a 24km scrambler? Until it has, I doubt its 100% useless

right, the ability to use an mwd and a disruptor. What ship can't fit them... oh right noobships.
o/ it's better than a noob ship! it's not 100% useless!

Right, you just have to fit a MWD and a disruptor on any ship to be a good tackler...

I havn't actually tested my Crow in combat after the patch, but if what people say about signature radius being SO much more important then actual speed is now, our ligh missiles should still be able to hit anything else for good damage since the explosion radius is smaller then frigs. Other interceptors with their MWD on will still get a large sig radius even with complex MWDs (my gistii b crow has a larger sig then it had before patch), so with actual speed not being important, the Crow may be able to stay out of other interceptors gun range while still close enough to put a point on them and still hitting for good damage, and as such may become the best to fight other interceptors with.

Try Rockets and a Warp Scrambler.
A Crow is the fastest Caldari ship - period - and so can act as an excellent tackler and with scrambler and rockets can slow a target down long enough for something bigger and heavier to get a point on it.
Or you could swap to a Raptor, a bit slower, has scrambler/disruptor range bonus, and uses Hybrids.

I knew that this was coming Nano user will star a wave of Whine today. The Crow will still be a number one Tackler and with rockets and MWD is a tremendous asset to a roaming gang. Of course was better before we just have to learn how to use it now. Give a couple days and ull see that is not complete useless

No, doesn't seem that way. A crow with afterburner will die in about 10 seconds to any assault frigate or destroyer and a crow with a MWD will get ripped apart by a rail or blaster taranis or most other frigates. The ehp of a crow is half that of a taranis and the dps is also half that and with the speed nerf now the taranis can more easily catch and range the crow with a MWD and normal point. Before the crow was very nice *if* you were fitting it in a 'team crow' sort of fit that could do over 8k/s with gang bonuses. Now it can't go that fast, so its well within the range an overloaded ranis, warrior II's or light precision missiles can catch - cept without any hp to survive.

I saw this:
http://www.battleclinic.com/eve_online/pk/view.php?type=player&name=Abram+Enroch&id=5169481&page=1&filter=kills#mail
and had to laugh after. That Crow was moving and fighting FYI, got the Rifter to 1/2 hull. All the Rifter had to do was get the crow in 10km and it's MWD got turned off.

I have tested it now, and I have been able to easily go faster then any taranises I've fought while my missiles are still hitting them for good damage, so like I described I could stay out of their weapon range while they are still well within both my weapon range and disruptor range. In one of the fights with me VS my corp mates taranis, I didn't take any damage at allbefoe I stopped firing with him in half armour, and later in a real fight a claw and a taranis failed to take me down together.

If they overload they can go faster than you, unless you overload, only you won't know when exactly to overload so you're at a significant disadvantage. Before the patch, an unrigged crow without overloading could still go faster than an overloading taranis, so that's really the only dynamic there that has changed. That being said you can still kill newbs who don't know what they're doing in a taranis but really that's no different than ever.
One thing I would note though is that the rail ranis is now better than the blaster ranis against MWD'ing interceptors. Issue is you can't seem to hold people very well in that 'sweet spot' range since webbing is so much less effective now. On the upside, the 10m3 drone bay stands out a lot more as a clear advantage for the taranis than it did before.

My speed and distance margin is big enough to spot that in time. regarding the drones, they can catch me, but I can kill them.
