Meh.
I didn't change my fitting, and since I already had 5 Light and 5 Medium T2 drones (of the right type for the mission) in my dronebay, plus a Warhead Flare Catalyst and a Warhead Rigor Catalyst (and a CCC) in my rigslots, the only change I've noticed is the weapon grouping : with less "finger lag" between cruise missiles, I actually destroy the targets faster than before the patch ... and that's with T1 launcher, not even named ones, and standard T1 missiles ...
In short : this sky is not falling, the CNR is still a monster at mission-bashing, the only difference is that now you MUST have good drone skills and the right size of drones in the dronebay (to deal with the frigates) ... before patch, you could fire and forget cruise missiles at anything and sleep through the missions, now you have to think a little, have a nice set of skills, and use the weapons and options at your disposal to be effective ...
Better like this, IMHO. |

Well I had T2 droneskills prepatch , I also had the TP skills set and was using one so tbh I noticed mostly no difference.
Only exception being merc & angel battleships seem to tank a bit better. |

The smaller ships still pop pretty quickly using a combination of precision cruise missiles, target painter (including signature focusing skill).
Where it got a little tougher, I unleashed the light drones and finished them off. There might be a more compelling need now to fit Smartbombs when dealing with missions like Buzz Kill, but I am not seeing any increased difficulty.
Once you collect a bunch of LPs, turn some of them in to get missile implants for your mission running character and also make sure you get guided missile precision and target navigation prediction skills done up.
T2 precision cruises + TP + T2 drones are your friends. They kill anything smaller than a battleship. For a BS, load up Caldari Navy cruise missiles and take them down. I use a 3 x BCU set up on my CNR for increased gank and for rapidly reducing the incoming damage.
If there's any frustration, it is this - that it still takes me as long to salvage/loot the mission as it does for me to complete it.
Mordu's Folly 1/2 took 20 minutes to complete and over 20 mins to salvage/loot. Took me another few minutes to get the hauler to retrieve that huge jetcan of stuff. |
