ok so now the OP:
I had a friend start playing about the time Achura appeared. He asked me to give him a leg up.
So he didnt create a character like my main (charisma+ intell/mem -) I went through the options in the character creation section until I had a good recommendation for him.
Bear in mind at the time:
Skills needing charisma were pretty much ALL trade related.
Caldari were the most viable way to create income from their combat skills quickly.
Missiles are a good introduction to damage types without getting bogged down in transversal and etc.
Everytime I see one of these "HAHA achura are teh ghey" comments I think "OMG I hope my mate doesnt read that," cause hes gonna be like "why did you do that to me?"
At the time they had the optimal stats for a new player and the trade off was they were butt-ugly.
Please dont compound this by bashing people for creating the best character they could at that time:
would you have done anything differently?

So.. um is my 30 intel Achura alt who blazes through intel/mem based skills at 2700sp/hr a bad thing? I'm just curious because I suddenly gave a crap what anyone else thought, said or did.

The females, at least. The males are almost as bad as Achura.

Unfortunately bashing Achura is the only way to provide that overpowered bloodline with a slight drawback.
On the one hand it's the devs' fault, because they didn't balance them properly. I mean, seriously, Caldari already had a combat-heavy bloodline (Civire).
On the other hand it's the player's fault for choosing stats over looks.

Some of us choose Achura cause of the backstory and looks, and only found out about the min-max'ing afterwards... So please, stop bashing the minority within the majority!
