The people ***ing about the missle changes were used to roasting everything with their cruise missles whereas all other races had to actually vary their fits to deal with different sized targets, now they do too. I'm sure CCP will monitor the change over the next few weeks and if they find they over did it they will adjust, just like they have in the past. Personally, I reviewed the patch notes, changed my fits up a bit, and I'm having no issues. Most people seem to be doing the same, in a week this will all be over and everyone who screamed CCP had nerfed everything into uselessness will have either quit or feel pretty silly. Except the people who do nothing but grind lv. 4 missions, who will still be complaining they can't just spam cruise missiles at everything anymore. tbh I think the missile changes are the most painful, but it was needed to bring them into line with other weapons systems, since missiles would have been stupid overpowered if CCP had left them the way they were after bringing everything's speed down. ---

I just like to rock the boat Actually, I found Worlds Collide mission a pain in the arse after the patch, but all I did was adjust my set-up, change tactics and enjoyed myself. Speed change? What speed change? My Crusader still does over 6k so thats alright, my Apoc Navy Issue works just fine but I do find 117km/s very boring on some of the long runs to gates in some missions. In PvP i've noticed little difference except the nano***s seem to be hiding now

Nano pretty much dominated pvp and was the most used tactics, it got boring to pvp, now Quantum Rise was released, pvp can be funner now, more tactical, more use of combination of ships and setups. ---------------------------

CCP plays the game too, and they are playing it as it was meant to be played. They live to harvest your sweet sweet tears of dispair.... On a more serious note: Anyone who does not PLAN on their favorite ship getting SERIOUSLY nerfed is a fool. It does not matter what that ship is. It does not matter how much you payed for it. It does not matter how long you trained. The berf bat swings at us all sooner or later, and in many cases more than once. Expect it, plan on it, and adapt. And most importantly, after you train for the "Best" ship and it gets nerf, do NOT whine. Make due with the ship as it is, and/or train something else. Just because your ship is no long "best" does not mean you can't still use it. Adapt, or send my your damn stuff..... As added advice, NEVER train for a ship because it is best (unless you can HAPPILY accept that it will be nerfed...). Train for a ship that you think would be fun to fly. If that happens to also be the "best" ship, just remember that you will be mierable in Eve as long as you can't deal with the nerf bat with a smile. Play nice while you butcher each other.

Its about time missiles were brought down a peg, they were very overpowered. Now caldari pilots have to worry about the same issues as te rest of us have for a LONG time. Remember you STILL dont have to balance range AND damagr type at the same time. What youdo ave, finaly, is basically the same tracking issues as turret users. The HAC's and Raven arn't useless, just different. The greatest asset humans have is our adaptability, use it.

My BS are a little bit slower, but accelerate and turn much better. My HACs are also slower, but that's not so much of an issue with the other changes to speed. Missiles are less effective, but most of my skills are in gunnery anyway. I'll adapt where needed and enjoy the rest too. All good.

We have the largest server, non-consensual PvP, open-ended and complexity to master. And what do I like about Quantum Rise? Less Lag!!! Stargates are sexy. Also I like how level 4s will be harder. Hopefully this is the first step towards nerfing their payout and make people take more chances with riskier part of space. And if people quit; Bonus! Even less lag! Adapt or give me your stuff. Makes perfectly good sence to me. By the way, I awarded the first group of medels to my corp mates yesterday...this patch rocked! Jhered Out! PS. I would make the whiners of this patch a medel if it will shut them up.

However talking to guys who specialised and have around 40mil of skills sunk into a career i have not seen many good things said about the patch. Newbies seem to love it - now they can fight on almost equal terms as high skilled players.

The fact that I could play on patch day was a huge bonus :) As for the actual gameplay... little anoyed that im down to 1 reliable mac client at a time but I can live with it for now unlike the last mac patch which rendered playing eve a nightmare. The nerfing of "ghost training" 4 weeks before whats looking to be the most unpopular patch / expansion in eve history, should give you a hint. CCP are genuinely worried that those who find themselves dismayed at the outcome of this latest expansion will vote with their wallets and simply stop subscribing. CCP's business model (being an Icelandic company) is extremely dependent on the subscription income as it can't pay any of it bill to external companies (such as the server hosting in the UK where the cluster actually lives) in Icelandic currency dues to the countries severe economic problems. Hence your $, euro's & GBP count vastly more than any number of (badly spelled and grammatically impenetrable) words pasted onto this forum. If your subscription lapses, you receive a email asking you why. It won't take very many of those before you actually see change as, unless you are entirely deluded, you must realise that CCP is a business, and the number one objective is (as with any business) profit. I find it difficult to believe that they care about me, or any of you; but they love our money. I don't seek to influence or persuade anyone to a course of action, only to set out the realities such as they are, and those options open to you. q flames of epic proportions and/or bannage

Welcome to the reality of every other MMO out there. I won't deny I took advantage of it on my alt account when things got tight for me, but given that I don't have to sit in a belt waiting on rat respawns to advance in skill training via experience points, I think I can live with their cutting it back from a license to grind without paying. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.

Yes I enjoyed my interceptor's speed and yes I would rather not have to carry small drones but nothing completely killed my gameplay. We all have to adapt and find alternate methods. So a missile boat has to carry a target painter to hit smaller targets...seems fair since anyone with rails has to carry drones to hit small ships as well. ------------------------------------
