Right sorry if this post has been done cant check all the time,
I have refining lvl5, refining effiency lvl4, and have all ore processing skills on lvl2 some on 3
there has been no differance between have the processing and not having them so wots the point of them being in game i have wasted alot of time and skill points training them up and i'am now very annoyed if u dont know its a problem then i ask please fix it as i do all the refining for my corp as i have the best refining skills but it seems a n00b can do just as good with refining lvl5 and refining effiency lvl4
i am very dissapointed in not having known about this bug please ccp fix it......thank you

The sad part is, judging by the responses, they have no clue what you are talking about. It's a shame, really, that people spend their money on stuff they have absolutely no idea what it does.
For everyone who doesn't understand the meaning of "deeper space," this is for you. There are different types of refineries, with varying quality. The highest is a 50% refinery while the lowest is I believe a 30% refinery. If you have RE5 you would get near perfect return from a 50% station. Your ore skills would have no effect at all. If you only ever refine at these stations, your skills would be a waste.
However... and this is the good part, if you go below .5 systems (these are the ones you probably don't mine in because you're scared of getting ganked) you will find the piece of junk machinery that these backwater systems use as refineries. These are in many cases less than 50% refineries. If you were to refine here, you would notice that you got crappy yield on your ore....
....UNLESS you have those precious ore processing skills. They magically make these piece of junk refineries act like their upscale brothers in high sec space. Making you the hero of your mining event and best friend of all your corpmates. It might even help you with the ladies (providing you have single women mining with you).
Thus the skills are not a waste unless you waste them yourself by not being able to use them. And that's the long and short of your 'bugged' skills.
I mine in a 0.1 sec system and no im not afraid of being gankedas its part of the game,
how ever thank you for explaining it to me as i am a novice when it comes to this game.
dev's feel free to lock this thread sry to bother you
