Can't recharge conquerable stations shields with shields transfers...

General Rocco	Posted - 2004.07.07 18:09:00 - [1] and it's conserning 1618 and the previous release. It seems that shield transfert modules won't activate anymore when targetting a conquerable station. Then we can't recharge stations shields faster after a battle and we got to wait about a day camping a system if we want to hold the station. Is it a bug or an undocumented feature ? If CCP want stations to ping-pong more often it's missed, because I don't think we will attack anymore stations if we can't hold them because we can't recharge them. If you want stations to change hands more often, nerf their shields : not the rechargers ! Thx

Like a fool I went in the Help channel (I think this channel is a complete and utter waste of space these days) on Saturday as I had only just realised Shield transfers no longer work on a station we had just taken. I was in there politely asking for about 20 mins, only be told a few times they didnt know about it and would find out, a long time passes and I start mildly ranting (as Im prone to do) because they tell me they have spoken with GM's and its intentional and to stop quick re-conquer. DUH, how is not being able to charge the shields going to help that I ask, surely its now easier to keep swapping ownership as station has no shields. They go silent because they obviously have see how dumb they sound and then they say, wait for auto recharge. I inform them thats like 3 days and Im told, "If you cant hold it for 3 days you dont deserve it" WTF, I reply with my crazy logic that I like to sleep once in a while, sleeping is cool, it helps you stay alive. Then Im stonewalled any further and told by the noobs with funny coloured text that its intentional and there is nothing anyone will do to 'help' me. How can the ISD folks in the Help channel be so clueless and how comes one person gets one GM response and another gets a completely different one ? So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

However, as we take some stations daily we decided not to bother the GM's with it anymore, it was taking up too much of their time. A GM has specifically confirmed to myself that this IS a bug, and that it was due to be passed on to the Dev's. It has also been submitted through the "other" petition feature. It DOES need fixing, it is annoying to take a station and not be able to defend it.
