It has been mainstream for other outlaw Corps for a very long time. Or am I missing something?.
When you follow someone and jump in the arazu and rapier to tackle they take sentry aggro first.. And with the insanely huge gates you are lucky to get 1 remote repper even close to remote repping range.. Remote reps dont work that well when half the remote repping ships are almost 50k away from you..
Rapier cant tank at all, and Arazu aint the best tank ship in the world with sentry on it aswell.. I dont like to whine about patches but damn CCP, this one is hard to adapt too for a small corp that likes to roam and work solo..
For chasing targets and jumping through, yes it is a hassle but there are solutions. The recon tacklers of course should never be first to uncloak after a jump-in. If no other friendly ships are going to follow, then the tacklers stay put and simply don't chase the target.
Obviously it is much easier to stay on one side of a gate and spider-tank sentries. But I know you guys like to be mobile and move around. Having the gate size increase certainly hurts outlaws that like to indulge in gate work.
I prefer Huginn/Lachesis over Rapier/Arazu. Lach can solo tank atleast 1 cycle of Sentry fire using a plate and dual EANM if it must be the first to uncloak after a jump-in. Once someone else gets a point, Lach can warp off but the range difference is an issue (unless you have a Command Ship in group with Warfare link that extends Web/Scramble range of everyone). It is certainly a challenge to adapt to this change. I'm sure you guys will do well. |

Guess my point is what the hell was the point of making so many more huge gates, more protection for the carebares in low sec or FW?
On a related note the nerfed webs are now epic for carebare protection to. Had a 8 man BS gang jump into our gang last night, we had 5 BS 2 BC and a Cruiser. Even duel webbed the plated BS's could make it back to the gates, awesomeness.
I like the gate changes all it really does is allow more people into 0.0. Which is good and all you really have to do is change the gate your camping.Figure out which way most of your targets are going and you can catch a lot more targets.

For targets coming in we've learned that if you sit a dictor on the top of the gate and one at the bottom of the huge gates nothing really gets away.
Rapiers and Arazus help and its not hard to get them a passive shield tank to handle sentries, just don't get primaried.
Jumping through can be gay though especially when the whole fleet lands on oneside of the gate and the victim lands 50-60 km on the otherside.

Ya, after a week or so with this:
CS/HAC gangs with dual log ships out perform post-nerf RR BS gangs in most (90%) situations.
To come close to your pre-nerf tackling ability you need a dedicated lach/arazu and a hugin/rapier. Still can't stop ships from getting back to gate if they know what they are doing though.
Due to the web nerf and the fact that 2 point scrams are very uncommon, nano's are still viable.
------ // This is by design. When a ship jumps through a gate, it clears all aggression. // - BH ******** Pew on gate, if it gets hot, jump through and Ctrl-Q. Game mechanic endorsed by CCP. |

Rapiers can tank sentries quite well, if fit right. Also, just have another ship take aggro by shooting billboard? Yarr |
