As a habitual miner I've a routine when I hit a belt, and I'd like to think that these amazingly powerful computers in our ships could be instructed to carry out that routine at the hit of a button or shortcut key.
a set of 10 macros that can take small sequences, say 50, of interface actions triggered off a shortcut might look like: open scanner, sort by name, select object of <type>, approach, lock target, open dron bay, select all drones, launch, select all operating drones, set to mine repeatedly, wait til dist-to-target is 10km, activate mining lasers, end.
This would be very useful!

Yeah then u can mine fully afk instead of having to alt tab back every few minutes huh?

Yeah, hate to break it to you but people use third-party macro stuff, and if CCP catches you doing it they pull out the banstick.

Well they could make mining less boring and actually make the miner do stuff apart from dragging ore to a container.
That would fix the "Run eve in windowed mode and drag ore to your container every 60 seconds while browsing the web" problem.

Well they could make mining less boring and actually make the miner do stuff apart from dragging ore to a container.
That would fix the "Run eve in windowed mode and drag ore to your container every 60 seconds while browsing the web" problem.
