Hey all,
Quick question, if I have say, 5.0 Standing to Minmitar and create a new corp will that corp also have +5 standing?
If so do I have to complete a storyline mission before standings get update?
Thanks in advanced! |

no it will not. Im not compleatly sure precise how it works, but i think i read somewhere that it goes up by 50% ones a week.
so in a week you will have 2,5 after 2weeks you will have 3,75 and so on. Remember 5.00 will not do, you need atleast 5.01 |

Thanks, +5 was just a number I picked
I know it takes a while, if people join and leave, I thought if a new corp was created that corp whould get the standing immediately...but thats for clearing that up. |

Only people with actual standings (not the base 0.0) who have been in corp longer than 7 days count. |

I believe you must complete at least one important mission before your corp standings will begin to move, though this may have changed.
Go run down and hit a run of lvl 1 combat missions till you get an important mission, finish it, and your standings might move.
If you wait till the 8th day to do this, let us know the results, so we can know if the important mission bump is still required |

I don't think either of those linked topics take into consideration the new method or timeline for calculating corp standings. |

I updated it today so both are applicable, in so far as what we have been made aware of. --

I have one player corp and my standing is 2.95. I am trying to get it to 5. Currently I am running level 4 missions to get my standings up. Would it be faster to run level 3's, which I can easily do in less than half time, to get the storyline missions more often? Or just keep running 4's? My lvl 4 agent is Quality 16 in a .6 system.
Is there any other way to increase your standings besides storyline missions and killing thousands of rats?
Thanks

Braaage, I think you need to explain a bit more about the difference between "no standings" and "neutral standings". "No standings" means the other entity (the faction in this case) isn't even aware you exist (I exaggerate slightly...). They won't appear in your "Liked by" or "Disliked by" lists at all. "Neutral standings" means you read as "0.0" to the other entity. They may appear in one of the "Liked by"/"Disliked by" lists if your standing is not 0.0. If your standing is very small (less than +/-0.0049), the faction may not appear in the character's "Liked by"/"Disliked by" lists. Do not trust that their absence means that the individual has no standings; the only certain answer is to "show compositions" on the corporation's faction standing.
When calculating a corporation's faction standing, the individuals who have been in the corp at least 7 days, and who have some standing, even neutral, (i.e. not "no standing") will have their standings averaged together. Individuals who have null (i.e. "no standing"), or who have been in the corp less than 7 days, do not figure in this calculation at all.
Originally by: "http://www.eve-guides.com/poss/empirepos.php" After 7 days the standings will jump to the average of all players in the corp not counting those with neutral standings.
The bolded part is incorrect, based upon my definitions of "neutral" and "no" standing above.
