Except, is that it? I can understand this is a big enough change but now the drone regions are going to be the most boring null space for pve. Right now a 10/10 plex is drone poo + t2 salvage. Really? So now it's bounties and salvage? Where's the officer spawns with interesting loot? What about all the other things that make other faction areas interesting? Are we even going to get meta 1+ drops?

I didnt go out to null to grind drones for isk only to ship crap from Jita. I can do that in high sec.

Iterate Drone Space.

Make it an advanced NPE.

Let players fly rogue drone ships with a COMPLETELY SEPARATE skilltree.

Make stargates accessible to these drones only through sucessful hacking.

Set players playing as rogue-drones to always-PVPable non-CONCORDABLE.

Allow individual drone players to upgrade ships through resource gathering and reprocessing.

Drone boats would not be customizable. They would be player-operated versions of today's exact rogue drones.

Rogue Drone players would compete with normal players for resources in-game to upgrade their drone ships to a more specialized/advanced model.

The resource competition should be "gritty" like drones leeching mats from a moon-mining beam, for example.

Imagine the fun.

Flying drone ships means you become part of the drone collective. Resistance is futile, prepare to be assimilated!

Well, last time i flew through Belts in Dronelands, i noticed that in normal 0.0 belts, there are 1 or 2 BS in a BS-Spawn. In Dronelands, it's usually 2 or 3. Depending on how high the bounty will be on Drones and if the spawns will be adjustet or not, you might make considerabely more ISK/Hr when ratting compared to other 0.0, and probably grind secstatus faster. However, i have no clue about BS count in Anoms / Plexes compared to other 0.0.

There always has to be a 'most boring' part of everything.

I think it's a reasonable question and concern. I would be pushing this issue with the csm while they're looking at the drone regions, or you could very well get backburnered for a year or more. Having variations in value is a good and fair conflict driver; having variations in content quality just makes less space that people actually want to play the game in.

I think value-wise the drone regions are looking pretty good with generally badass sec ratings, but that's no reason to deny them some of the fun and variety seen in the other npc factions. Ratting is already boring enough, having a section of space where the ratting is even more boring is just cruel

Perhaps something more can be done with those "faction drones" that I never see on the market.

I honestly didn't think CSM really could accomplish anything. Is this viable?
