I chose armor tanking:
Low: large armor repair, 3 hardeners (thermal/kinetic/explo), powergrid, signal amp 2 Med: 2x cap recharger 2s (or named 1s), signal amp, tracking computer, Ladar backup High: 5x 1400, 2x cruise, 1x medium sbomb
Very low: drones ;)
This is for PvP 80-120 km sniping ;)
Shield Inversion works best at lighting cigarettes in windy weather.

Originally by: Baytt so what would a good armour tank setup be, high slots med slots and low slot layout. :)
Armour tank starts with large repairer, 3x hardner ( expl, therm, kin ) for more tanking add a techII medium repairer or another large if you can get the cap to run it and the grid to fit it. rest of your lows are up to you, some people swear by plates. A cap recharger (or a couple ) or a cap injector in the meds is probably a good idea. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

Can do armour tanking for long range as well, but with long range you tend to need grid quite badly for those big boys. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

with PP, hmmm, there should be a better ammo to hunt guristas IIRC. Should give Titanium sabot a try, should do quite nicely against guristas. PP is awesome against serpentis. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

My current setup for Rat Hunting in 0.0 space is as follows:
Hi Slots: 5 800mm AC's 1 Dual 425 mm AC 2 Siege Launchers w/ Torps (EM and Explos)
Mid Slots: Tracking Comp MWD 2 17.25% Cap Rechargers (can't use Cap Recharger II's) 1 Webber
Low Slots: 1 1600 mm Plate 1 Activated Thermal Hardener 1 Energized Explosive Plate 1 Gyro II 1 Inefficient Large Armor Rep 1 Energized Nano Plate I
3 Prats/3 Zerks for drones
The Webber is necessary for MWD'ing Cruiser rats. You are always in a running battle this way as most of the BShip escorts MWD to get close and you need to pick them off individually (if you can).
The tough part is actually taking down the Bship without running out of cap once the escorts are dead. I take an arseload of damage while closing.
haven't flown much since the patch and the extra 1000 PG, so there might be some tweaks to this in the future. I hesitate to go to 4 siege launchers b/c I haven't bought Torp BP's yet and they are too expensive to be just throwing around willy nilly.
