AGONY Empire is opening up a Darkfall Online clan for the revolutionary new game coming at the end of December. Darkfall finally has a release date of Dec 31 and i think this one will hold.

"Undisclosed Sources" don't affect me in the slightest. Those that are willing to throw mud but not sign their name to the deed are nothing more than cowards. We neither know who this person is, nor know their motivations in making such a post. For all we know this could be a person who works with a competitor of Darkfall. It is even more possible that the person was a carebear who seriously dialed the wrong number with Darkfall. Since there is no way of assessing the credibility of the source, I will assume that the source has no credibility whatsoever.
Does that mean that Darkfall will "pwn" every game out there? No. Not at all. It simply means that we should judge the final game in it's entirety and judge it for ourselves until a credible source wants to go on the record with an assessment. Even if there is that credible source, they are only one voice in the crowd, not "THE" voice. As humans we have to resist the urge to be sheep and be lead by a few bleating lambs. Simply because they bleat the loudest does not necessarily grant them with omniscience.
In that light you might ask, "So Rells, if you grant that the game may not live up to expectations, what the heck are you up to?"
Well it's simple really. Any game of the nature that Darkfall has been advertised to be and, indeed, any game with a heavy and unrestricted PvP centric focus is going to be something of a dangerous mosh pit. Naturally this appeals to many of the PvPers in Eve. However, in any PvP centric game you stand a better chance to Excell and even survive if you are with a group of like-minded friends who will stand together. Agony has always been that kind of group and we have an ethos of PvP that we like to think of as a thinking man's pvp. We dont simply form a fleet of whatever the heaviest things we can find, instead we craft our tactics, groups, communications discipline and other aspects of PvP carefully. We analyze the effectiveness of tactics, devise new ways to fight and exhibit a ruthlessly efficient PvP aggressiveness.
So it's simple really. If you are going to give Darkfall a try, would you rather go at it alone or with another group of like minded, borderline crazy, PvP focused individuals? If you opt to go at it alone it will be hard indeed. Think UO at release to know how hard. But then if you go with us, think UO at release if you had a 40 person guild.
The choice, of course, is yours.
