You said it I'm up for that for sure.
This country has become a shadow of it's former self and politicians have become even more paranoid than those in the USA.
Those acts that were listed, there's one point that most people don't realise. You can be held for up to 72 hours without charge under the anti-terrorism act. It's a little known fact that they can release you, let you walk 100 yards from the station then re-arrest you and hold you for another 72 under certain circumstances. It's 42 hours without charge for any other offence for which you are held 'under suspicion'.
The anti-social behaviour act isn't worth the paper it's written on. Those who are given ASBO's are often those who went out of their way to obtain one. It's a badge of honour for many, especially the kids who use it as proof to their peers that they are bad mofo's. While I was working in a mall as a security guard, I actually heard a kid say to one of his mates, "****, what do you need to do to get a ****in' ASBO nowadays?"
-- There's a simple difference between kinky and perverted. Kinky is using a feather to get her in the mood. Perverted is using the whole chicken. All this has happened before and will happen again |

what a bad time to have a lack of scientist and engineers eh?
Here's a little Wikipedia link for ya:
Operation Paperclip
It's possible that the US may well be further advanced technologically speaking than other countries (although, for a 1st world country there is a massive gulf between the haves and have-nots). We shouldn't forget however, that the basis of this claim can be found in the distinct lack of morality that allowed war criminals to escape any form of punishment. These people were responsible for the deaths of millions; they were also responsible for taking post war technological advancements to new heights, the main benifactor was, of course the USA.
The so-called intellectuals of the time had free reign in 1940's Germany. Result....Holocaust.
True i guess it also helps if you have a huge generations of obsessed science fiction fans, with needs for science and a very dedicated educated system, and a culture thats promotes geek culture, you end up with japan and this School
and the Japanese version of a geek Otaku
now how do i get a job in japan.

Nut job conspiracy theory.
But if it happens even the threat of death won't make me get one (I've survived cancer, so I know about looking at death, and on a second note, I'm NOT christain).

If it's on Rense, I'm inclined to ignore it. The same goes for ATS, Pravda, etc. However since it's on USAToday, maybe it has some modi****of truth to it. I'd be ok if it was restricted to merely superficial aspects of life - namely money or credit. That's where the line should stop, IMO.

Bad idea for one reason atleast:
Can you imagine going out drinking with one of these? Unlimited access to your funds is a bad idea after 12 pints, when the night is still young. You'll wake up with a hangover and a few hundred pounds missing every time you go out. - Violence isn't the answer, it is the question. The answer is yes. |
