ALLYAHH Capital Support	Posted - 2008.11.19 06:49:00 - [1] Ok now I dont know what to do cuz i keep getting different answers here and there so I want to hear what the RIGHT answers are. First off, my char created a new corp and he is all by himself. He has a standing with Caldari FAction of only 2.97 and with my current social skills it bumps him a little above 4.0 My question is, I want to anchor a POS in a 0.4 system but do not know if I HAVE the standing for this. I was told that the standing that matters the most is the one that shows up in your corp standings and thats the one that is unaffected by social skills. So i have technically a 4.0 standing with the faction but cant anchor a POS due to the corp standing even though I am the only character in this corp? Second, if I cannot anchor the POS due to the standings with the corp... can I just drop to a noob corp and anchor my POS then? Standings arent really important at that point and would it still have the same problem? Some help would be much appreciated.

You cannot place a POS in .8-1.0 security systems, no matter what your standings. you cannot mine moon minerals in .4 your POS is vulnerable to random player attack in .4 - no wardec required.

You DO need a faction standing of at least 4.0 to anchor in a .4 sytem as it's still considered to be empire space. .4 sec systems are a very grey area since you need the standings but still have no concord protection, you can't mine moons there, you can't set up reactors and you can't build caps either which makes .4 totally useless for any POS unless you are using a jump bridge but even this might not be allowed in .4. Your best bet is to find a nice cosy .3 system as you will have all the benefits of low sec without the drawbacks of highsec and it's no less safe than .4.
