Anyone else notice how they update the Sisi client, yet dont seem to ever have the right patches out? For instance, Sisi just went down about 30 minutes ago, and they patched it. Now I cant find the patch to go from 5.20.70001 (which was what Sisi was running an hour ago) to whatever build it is now. And this always happens. CCP, sort your lives out dammit.

it's just that you only have the patch for the previous version, they can't account for every patch someone may have. they patched sisi twice.
On the other hand, they also always have the patch from TQ to latest SISI version, and the client is only what, 2GB, so it takes what, 1.5mins to copy the folder over and patch it by trying to log in.
You sure use harsh words for a nonissue.

Also agree with Frank. The problem isn't that we don't want to re-copy the TQ version of eve, the current TQ to sisi patch is for 70001, so that doesn't help. Sisi is up but no one is home...

Trully a non issue because TRanquility is still up. go play that while your waiting but at the same time we recieved this Message shortly before reseting sisi "Emergency Server Reset... See you in 1 minute." 2 hours later still no current patch. After recopying, re-applying "Current build 70001", which isnt the most current (apparently 70031 is) still no auto update or updated patch page. Granted They did say it was an emergency so keep that in mind. a number of factors could attribute to slower patch updating, less staff at this time, they were unaware they were going to need a new patch and are rewriting or reverting as fast as they can. Perhaps they just saved sisi from a memory leak that was gonna wipe the whole server... they would want to test that internally before reapplying an update to ensure thier customers gaming experience etc. Although it would be nice if they had to mirror tranquility =) it would take MUCH longer. I am just/only as patient/impatient as the rest but it helps to think of all the angles. WORK FASTER CCP..... Please? |

It is a bit annoying that they cant just let it patch properly like for the tq files. I mean sure its only a minute or 2, but inconvenience is still inconvenince.
Rant aside, this is voluntary and CCP have no real obligation to improve this kinda thing as its not their main product. EVE history

I'm starting to get pretty annoyed with uninstalling my TestEVE, and then recopying QR to the Test file...Then downloading the new patch...
Grrr...It gets pretty frstrating after realizing you are going to have to do it every patch.

Try using this tool to keep up with the updates you need. Singularity patches are in the middle.
