I don't like the sound of all this. I am considering to retract my reservation again, unless this is put to bed with a degree of certainty that is now required. As always, investments are about trust more than anything else.

I'm amused by the people who immediately canceled their reservations upon reading Rho's post, despite being willing to throw money at the OP before it without having done any research of their own.

I agree. I wasn't saying that there is a problem with the issuer, just that there were suspicions and allegations in the past that warrant especially close examination.
This should highlight the advantage (to both issuers and potential investors) of having ventures audited at their conclusion as well as when funds are being raised in advance.
In this case, Caste Ling dismissed the suggestion of an audit that might have cleared his name... that doesn't look good, but it doesn't prove anything, either.

Usually they expect other investors to conduct research for them and expects them to bring forward issues, concerns and questions about the validity of the IPO/bond.

Been playing Evemail tag with Caste setting up an audit of all things possible.
Hopefully we can get things straightened out soon enough and people can then make a final judgment one way or the other. |

Confirmed as true.

It proves one thing and one thing only: When the op had a chance to clear his name he decided to not do so. Thus he will have to bear the consequences of that choice. And since the clearing was a time limited opportunity, he will have to be marked as "dubious" forever. Sad but then he may have been one of those who helped us all think like this.

Yeah, it's quite the nuisance at this point.
For what it's worth, I have given Kazzac Elentria my api keys and am awaiting audit results.

I'm sure it is a nuisance and your seeking an outside auditor is commendable. The problem that exists is no audit, of any kind, will ever put to rest the doubt(s) that exist about you. Truly, nothing you can do about it anymore.

I must withdraw my reservation.
There has been no evidence of this moving forward in a few days now. I may still invest after a successful audit, but I will not commit any funds to a project that has appeared to stagnate before it has even launched.

The holiday slowed the audit process, project has not been abandoned.

Apologies for everyone interested and to Caste. The holiday delayed me and upon returning home I was rewarded with no internet from my favorite ISP Comcrap. |
