The devs already stated that they will not do this. THey do not wish for ppl to play their beloved game in wireframe mode.
Beyond stupid I say. Why do they care how I play the game? I don't want fancy gfx and laggy laggy.
I want it to run smooth even if I have to reduce everything to boxes. It's not like you can see the models when you are zoomed out anyways.
I'd like to be abel to turn off missile explosions etc.
I have however been todl you can actually just edit the game files to remove the models so just the icon is left. I gotta mess with that myself. Turn off drones etc. Would be sweet. Maybe see if one can replace the models with low polyon models or somesuch. -------------------------

Now if its true judicator it beats everything.
The devs answer seems like dumb beyond imagination.Yea you must all time admire graphics even if all you can do is sit at station.
As for last part if its so easy why the devs dont add a few buttons that would turn those options on off?
If memory serves me rigth it was Hellmar that made that statemenbt. And you it is dumb beyond imagination.
How am I supposed to enjoy the game and admire the gfx when I get 1 FPS and can't see the enemy, reload my guns, turn my module on/off etc. Answer me this devs, I double dare ya! -------------------------

I double dared the devs to answer. They are obviously completly ignoring the post because that have nothing but a stupid answer like Hellmar's "We don't want ppl playing like they play Quake 3 in wireframe"
I think the easist is to just mod the client to not sjhow all that fancy crap that slow one down.
Just gotta figure out what format they use for the stuff files. -------------------------

There was also a reply by kieron on one of the posts in the general forum. The answer has been quite clear, modifying the client is against the EULA, and you can be warned or banned for doing it.
Oh I bother, just got home from work, and I can see that there is a CSM link on eve-i.com.
I also know fully well that it's against teh EULA but I can also tell from the CSM there is currently no way of checking it for you guys. Now that is a stupid thing to tell ppl IMO.
Anyways, even tough the file intregtrity is checked it can be cheated. Just a matter of how much time someone is willing to put into it.
At any rate I can't really get myself mad at ppl modding the client, afterall, it's not their fault it's a POS. -------------------------
