I would like to start of by saying this game turned into a piece of rubbish with the nano nerf, seriously ccp wth you thinking?
And ofc since this is not an angry rant, I'am just joking. I liked most of it.
When I first started playing eve, a couple years back, when you could kite missions with a kestrel and missiles ruled... Got to dull that time around. Nine months later a friend had started playing, and I rememberd eve for being good and reactivated and has since been playing :)
I was the definition of carebear. PvP? What? Damn pirates of aunenen killing my ferox! Learned to use insta bms the hard way =) Lost my first raven a couple hours after I'd bought it because kid required attention. The destroyer of ravens, my son owes my about 2.5 ravens some cruisers and a vagabond.
I joined fnd, great people and it made eve worth playing. I was still the ursa careus major. Mining dark glitter in faspera for two weeks was actually good fun. We moved into geminate. The rupture engaging my raven out in q-t and nearly getting me. Ah sweet memory.
So, I beared. I then left and joined the friend whom originaly got me playing eve up in venal. Some fun guys with poe/trojans did I meet. Then out to deklein and the free space something.
With all this bearing going on and nothing much else I had the interest to actually shot stuff because it seemed so fun when people talked about it. So, I made Vim 2006.06.26, the outset was to learn this pvp thing. Managed to start a corp and it grew, I meet good people, bad people and I did learn to pvp slowly around the heimatar/metro area. Arch nemesis being Xonja of VHI, oh X2Z where ever did you go...
Fast forward now, I became a pirate all flashy and cozy in metro, angils constellation. Good fun around that area. Politics and someone's big mouth(I'am looking at you KC) got us into more trouble then we could handle, sitting inside stations when under attack? Nonsense. Wheres the fun in that.
To much time spent managing politics and diplomacy and corp business, ring a bell anyone? We left and moved into fnd and RK some of us. Good times, despite some incidents. Ah, scooter, gerku, gloria(I've survived one gloria 'any bothered about losing their ship leave now' gang \o/).
Then, FW is on the horizon, to big fleets with the rk/smash/atlas/ci/etc etc so some of us decide to leave for fw when it hits tq, this sadly falls into the timeframe of the goon and russians overthrowing geminate. Atleast I did get to see the triple DD and that goon titan go down. I have no warm fellings toward the goon/somethingawful attitude and will consider eve a much better place when this rot is carved out with a spoon glowing red from heat.
Fw, what a disappointment this turned out to be. A few good fights but nothing serious, back to pirating.
And then now, syndicate for the pew not the pos.
And now here I'am, saying farewell. A girl got a wrecking shot in and in combo with uni studies taking to much time, I have managed to play, an hour past two/three weeks? And I feel, free and relived somehow. 6-8hr/day earlier and now, nothing, sweet freedom. My 4 accounts, inactive, this one now at DT. 8 good chars spread across 4 accounts ^^
And all because of a girl with blue eyes(? O_O). Farewell eve, farewell to all friends and good foes alike.
Keep playing the best of games and keep having fun. May your local be clear of smack, your roids huge and your fighting plenty. trov, dax, sx, kc, snuffs, scooter,cc,kk, easy, ken, fnd, druzy... keep going strong =)
Lots of great things on the eve horizon, ambulation, t3, rework of sov warfare, hpc etc.
Keep building a great game ccp, thanks for a couple fun years.
In closing, I dont like farewells and I know I'll be tempted down the road so:
