Posted - 2008.11.24 03:47:00 - [1] I run alot of missions so i sort of count on them to make my life much easier considering i use beams... today was the first time since its introduction that i got to experience the full effect. I have had to alter/adapt my gamign style.. no longer do i wait for frigs to come into range and kill em quick after webbing. I tried 1 web, WTF! docked tried two... WTF this is better but not as good as prenerf. so i went back to one web and one AB 10 on my zealot. now i get distance between my targets before getting agro if possible. once i agro them its a matter of keeping at a distance to keep my turret trackign down as low as possible, amd 650ms a zealot can do that in most cases.. all in all i dont like what ccp did but i think it will encourage mass webs on one ship in pvp. in pve i think ccp should adjust for npc's webbign if they have not already. thanks for ready my 3 isk worth of venting...

I went the other way though and swapped my Zealot Beams for Heavy Pulses and added tracking computer instead of an extra web. I tried using a Sensor Booster, as a lot of frig rats punch through while you wait for lock to complete, but overall the extra range and tracking has proven superior. I like the new balance it has brought to missions, it has removed some of the "turkey shoot" feel from them. The PvP side of things definitely benefits from multiple webs, this also means that solo BS PvP is generally dead as only a handful have the needed midslots to spare.

Why not just use them if it's too much of a hassle? Single web is fine, unless you get heavily webbed yourself, in which case an AB is a must. In fact AB is a must anyways Mode of use is simple = use ship's agility to track now the web is less effective ; Web target, select keep at distance (not orbit) of say 20km (you will not need to go out that far, it needs to be far enough so the arse of the zealot tracks the orbiting frig), hit AB and wait till the ship aligns to the webbed target. Boom.Rinse and repeat for all the frigs that got inside the kill zone. Prolly works ok with beams too, not tried it, and tbh dont see the need.

PLEASE! 5-10 drone space please... i doubt i would ever need another ship again... as it stands its almost perfect in every respect except lack of drones and therefore lack of frig killing ability. --------------------------------------------- I may be a bit over Zealot, but i cant help myself, its the best investment i ever made!
