Im new to EVE and i keep getting the same problem over and over. When i jumped or docking i sometimes get a totaly black screen and logging out wont help(not even chaning profile).
Is this knowed bug? anyway i use AMD atlhon 2000, 512mb DDr and a TI4200 128 mb geforce.

Got another problem now.
I can get in with my main character, i get this error.
"Tuning in on sub-space frequency" It just keep loading and loading.

Got the same thing, black screen and loading over and over again.........

i get almost the same error, except it stops loading halfway through and gives me an error about C++ runtime library, "The application asked runtime to terminate in an unusual way"
is that yours too

Not with me, the loading bar just keeps moving from left to right a couple of hundred times.........
It never loads.. it just keeps moving and moving and ......

Ok, it seems to be working now...
And i didn't change anything.......
Was weird though (had te prob for almost 2 hours).

I have this exact problem right now. Has anyone figured out what is causing this and a way to fix it?
And to ad to this I just recieved about 20 popup errors at the login screen after hitting esc and selecting to go therre it reads:
Connection Lost
The transport has not yet been connected or authentication was not succesful.
Running AMD 2500 Barton, 512 DDR 3400, GeForce 5200

i just installed eve 2 days ago applied newest patch offered and was ok till today. have all problems listed above (blank screen, lost packets, logged out of server, infintite load loop, multiple logins necessary, and 20 or so error mssgs). runnin athlon xp 2200 via 266 chipset 512 mb ram and ati radeon aiw 9600. this system was barely built 3 months ago and just reinstalled windows earlier this week...no problems whatsoever with other online games...system is stable with latest drivers...this is an eve only problem...sigh would really like ta play this game before 30 day time runs out..

i just installed eve 2 days ago applied newest patch offered and was ok till today. have all problems listed above (blank screen, lost packets, logged out of server, infintite load loop, multiple logins necessary, and 20 or so error mssgs). runnin athlon xp 2200 via 266 chipset 512 mb ram and ati radeon aiw 9600. this system was barely built 3 months ago and just reinstalled windows earlier this week...no problems whatsoever with other online games...system is stable with latest drivers...this is an eve only problem...sigh would really like ta play this game before 30 day time runs out..

oh yeah also forgot chat issue. when typed all that came out was garbage..peeps laughin thinkin i was drunk(that was an example i am not drunk). could see the local and corp chat windows but no newbi window...runnin winxp sp1 all latest fixes etc..

bump, this is happening again to me today. It started with the market freezing this time after trying to purchase a ship, after hitting buy it came to the place order screen instead and then I closed that relogged/rebooted and that is when the market started freezing. So I closed out of the market and started the long journey back to my favorite port. Along the way the market search window started trying to search in the middle of space. Quit and rebooted again and now I get that damned screen again and I cannot enter the game at all again.
I remember things like this happening way back in beta and I was hoping stuff like this would be fixed it is why I decided to give the game a shot again. Doesn't anyone have a fix or at least a possible cause to this issue?

Had lagg problems so i decided to restart my pc, now i get the black screen too. Hope ccp solves this fast. I also tried to clear my cache, but didnt help.

Got the same problem here, all i get is the blank screen. The petition system doesnt seem to be working so I hope they read all these msgs. PLEASE REBOOT SERVER!

I don't think a server reboot wil do too much, if I remember correctly the first time this happened to me was shortly after yesterdays server reboot.

I really do feel for you n00bs, I've been playing since beta and this is a problem we've had for over a year. Although ccp a well aware of these issues and are attempting to address them, one can't help wonder about the negative impact this is having on newer players and the game as a whole :(
