What happened to all-time classics?!
3x150mm MWD, Scram, MSE 3xNanofibers
Might be harder to kill-off drones without web, but you are moch tougher and faster!

If you have used this for over a year why the somewhat odd choices in mods; lack of support skills or do the t2 guns really limit your cpu/grid that much?
EDIT: I've only put t2 guns on a jag/wolf thus far and not the little brother. I don't want to set the world on fire |

I actually tank my Rifters Bleeder style, works better against bigger targets.
3x 200mm ACII, nos II MWD (or AB these days), j5b scram, X5 web SAR II, 2 CPR II
Yes on paper (EFT) the numbers aren't high, in reality you stay in the fight.

Highs - Whatever you can fit
Mids -MWD 9k scram and 24k disruptor (or t1 if a fitting issue) has been working well for me in solo work , 24k for nabbing them and 9k for cap stability to run repper and turn off MWD's once in knife fight range. Lets be honest, the webs lost its effectiveness on this ship for most situations
Lows - SAR 200mm RT CPR

Not at all, it helps shooting down drones and it allows you to fit an AB and sig tank against bigger targets.

And it helps to keep you on the far end of scram range if your webbed, i.e. both ships have web+scram you can control range better than if you were fielding just a scram.
I.e. i want to be around 7 km range shooting barrage at incursus:es when they try to hopelessly blast at me.

Its all about the passive setup, active rifters and kinda meh for pvp.
3x 150mm Light AutoCannon II 1x Named Rocket Launcher
1x 1MN Afterburner II 1x Named Scram 1x Named Web
1x Damage Control II 1x 200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I 1x Gyrostabilizer II
Use RF Emp or Hail for omgwtfbbq damage, and keep some Barrage to kite outside of blasters.
Only bad part is that it needs a 3% cpu implant, which isn't too expensive. If your unwilling to buy it, then drop two of the guns to 125mm T2s.

I can't believe that nobody has posted the classic 400mm RT passive fit...
Guns/Rocket
MWD/AB Scram Web
400mmRT/MAPC/DCU2 or Resist mod
Juggle named mods to fit. Good solid ship. |

I have found that a MSE II fitted Rifter works best for me. It has a nice regenerative buffer, and it gets good speed, even with an AB. For lows, its a matter of taste, I use a DC II and some shiled power relays, but other setups with nanoes work wonders as well. The armor tanking one has one advantage, and that is a scram and a web, otherwise I think the MSE Rifer is supperior to the armor one. |

I notice that most people are fitting EMP S with the rifter even with T2 guns
Any reason for that? I thought the the main point to having T2 guns was for the T2 ammo. |

Main point of having T2 guns is increased damage (with t1, faction t1 or t2 ammo), but as you know, sometimes the malus of T2 ammo make it not worthwhile.
Most setups use faction EMP because has maximum damage with no drawback, and 10% hole on EM damage in armor tanks. Also lots of fittings with barrage as extra falloff bonus is nice.

What do you guys think about this close range PvP/Factional Warfware setup?
[HIGH] 3 x 150mm Light Autocannon I (if running AB instead of MWD) Rocket Launcher I
[MID] 1mn AB or MWD named Warp Scrambler I (2pt) Web
[LOW] 2 x 200mm plates Damage Control I
You can probably buy all these modules for well under 500k, if I had to guess. I'd probably prefer the MWD setup with offlined Rocket Launcher, but I've yet to test it. This setup gives you around 1600 armor and probably around 2.5km/s with the MWD. I'm guesstimating around 30+ dps. - Jacmert |

Two of my favorite setups... yay. I've got maxed fitting skills, so I dunno how/if it fits for other people :) I also run a few setups with a small nos, and some dual rep + cap booster setups, lol

Warp Scrambler II X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator 1MN Afterburner II
150mm Light AutoCannon II, EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, EMP S Rocket Launcher II, Gremlin Rocket
and... my current setup
[Rifter, Cap boosted] Small Armor Repairer II Gyrostabilizer II 200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Small Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 100 1MN Afterburner II Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
150mm Light AutoCannon II, EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, EMP S Rocket Launcher II, Phalanx Rocket

I have an old char that i use to pew when bored, was wondering about a setup or two.
Right now I have:
3x 125mm IIs [w/ barrage or emp] and Small Knave Energy Drain
Cold Gas Arc Jet, J5B Warp Scrambler, X5 Prototype Web
Pneumatic Stabilization Actuator, Beta Nano, Type D Overdrive Injector
Current setup/skills gives me: 250 Cap 118.65/150CPU 24/44.4 Grid 1,073 HP 526/1,162m/s
Questions are: Should I switch to 150mm IIs? (I'm thinking 125s are good for other frigs/drones, 150s good for slower/bigger targets?) Is Barrage worth it, or should I stick to t1 ammo? Should I replace a low with an armor rep? If so, what should I lose?
I am definitely a novice at ships that shoot things, so any help is appreciated.
sorry, if too much info up there. === This Space For Lease or Sale. |

sits down any other frigate and a LOT of cruisers that you happen to be in scram range of.
(have plenty of kills against vexors, thorax's, ruptures, and other frigates in this setup, altho these days i enjoy a Gyro/nano fit :P)

No one uses energy vampires on their rifters anymore? seems like all the old topics I read in the past everyone had them in place of rockets.
Also you guys with no sheilds, how the heck do any of you live long enough with out any sort of extra shielding? I've been running a T2 sheild extender and 200 tungston with a T2 Armor Rep and still run out of ship aginst things bigger than me.
