Edited by: Mafaka on 26/11/2008 04:29:57 Edited by: Mafaka on 26/11/2008 04:29:34 it would be very good to be able to dock to capital ship ( player and and a ship together) carrier, mothership, titan, orca.
1)basicaly it will give u ability to dock - 2)players inside capital ship can Jump drive with the capital ship - to what ever its jumping. 3)cant dock in combat - 2 mins agression cooldown after being hit, targeted, or in agresion, or if carrier has been hit , agressed , targeted, - similar to station rules. 4)only corp members can dock and allience 5)max docked layers at any time - carrier 5, mothership 15, Titan 25, orca 3 6)ability to buy clone at capital ship bay - 10mill a unit 7)if capital ship destroyed - all the players docked and player itself appear in pods( even if they are offline) - ships and equipment that was docked - appear as cargo loot or drop, some destoryed. some can be salvaged. 8)u can enter capital ship bay in the station with your ship and pod 9) while u inside u can outfit your ship using corp hangar as equipment storage. 10) cant undock in combat if carrier under fire, targeted or agressed. 11)

I think that players should be able to load their pods into cargo of any ship with permission and when you dock up with a ship maint bay, your pod automatically goes into the cargo and you are taken wherever the ship goes.
Not only would that let you come with a carrier when it jumps but smaller ships, like shuttles could be rented out as taxies. -Xindi Kraid CSFI lead engineer and shipwright

Loose points 3 and 10. Sort of defeats the point of a carrier.
I agree that you don't want people docking, insta repping and then returning to battle. So make it that if you dock to a cap ship your shields and armour are automatically repaired by the carrier but at a rate tuned to keep you out of the fight for a reasonable length of time (similar to you manually repping at a ss, but slightly faster). Of course, while your ship is repairing you can refit if you want.

ye - its a great help in 00 trips , so that carrier or aother cap ship can carrie people 30 jumps - it also will make pilots who are not able to fly cap ships participate in big fleet ops with are far away - giving more oportunity

Hmmm... Interesting idea, have often thought about this... Also, this might be a good part of a way to bumbnerf titans (make them better but rarer). In the EVE novel you have a ship(rifter) docking inside a titan, for instance. I do think though that this should be only for supercaps, given that they are actually station sized (to large to dock lol). Carriers should be kept to drones, maybe give them the same drone amount as motherships?

wel then let them give it to super caps - the idea is still very good , and it will encourage people to buy super caps , becasue they still cheaper then building own outpost
