The ship I fly most is the Taranis, blaster-fit. I use it as my primary solo pvp ship, and aside from Navigation (V) and all the prerequisites that I had to get to V, all skills pertinent to flying a blasteranis are currently sitting at IV. I'm now considering training them to V however, as the Taranis's solo pvp capabilities have been indirectly improved by the last patch. My question revolves around the skill Interceptors itself. As a pilot who is currently working toward Command ships, but primarily solo PvPs in a Taranis, is it worth training Interceptors V?

This.
And look into propulsion jamming 5, high speed manoeuvring 5 and acceleration control 5. Short skills that will make your life as a small ship pilot a lot more enjoyable.

Keep in mind the new ceptor bonus: 15% reduction in MWD sig radius bonus per level.
the difference from 60% to 75% is 37.5%...
Which is HUGE. Same on logistics ships. if you like ceptors, do it.

If you fly ceptors, then yes. I fly AF's and it's currently going into V. Stop whining. |

Generaly speaking there are few ship skills that i think should be taken to 5 (benifits of the training time to 5 is usualy displaced by benefits of training other skills, unless you have every other possible skill related to that ship maxed since those skills often effect other ships as well they are genearly more valuable to me)
That being said i have interceptors 5 trained, its payoffs mean life and death often since with an interceptor escaping with 1% hull happens other ships if you are that far dead its because you cant get away so a slight boost to your ship wont help (most of the time). and its rank 4!!!! woot

I fly a Drake. For me, it was an absohuckinglutely no-brainer as to whether I should train Battlecruisers skill to five or not.
Same goes for the OP. If it is what you fly, then yes you ought to train it to five.

Ship bonuses are normally pretty good, especially T2 ship bonuses. Level 4 to try the ship out, level 5 if you're going to spend a decent amount of time in it.
13 days left on HAC V for me
