I liked this game at first. Then I thought i liked this game. Then tried to like this game. Now I just don't like this game. Pay attention to you entry level missions CCP. The scaling is ridiculous. It took just one mission to ruin this game for me and after much research it seems I have more of these bullshit , isk eating, ship destroying, time comsuming, over tuned level 2 missions to look forward to . If i keep playing.
In game chat , you get nothing but ridicule. even in rookie chat , if you ask for help. All you get is " read the objectives,,blah blah blah"
I have no probs reading objectives and have completed every mission i accepted until now. All the forums say is to stay away from the mission or to spend 20m isk to buy and fit a Cruiser. After this mission has wasted all my time and isk. There is no way im gonna mine or do level 1 missions just to lose it all again on more bullshit missions.

Sorry to hear that the mission went badly for you, I would say stay on though as the game can get really enjoyable later.
The missions get more interesting up to level four. When you grow bored of just normal missioning you can move onto the epic arcs or incursions for more tricky PVE.
If you want information about the missions you're running check this website http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports if no one has linked it to you before it has information on most of the games missions.
You may also want to check what ships and fittings are good for missions. A nice place to ask for help would be EVE University as well, they're great people who help many new players learn and move towards what they want to do in EVE. |

What Turelus said.
Also I'd like to add that you can look at the Eve University Wiki site for ship fits to help you survive. If you decide to stay hooking up with the Uni can make your game experience much better and they have lots of helpful people, including one-on-one mentors, who can help you get the most out of New Eden.

Where? can you post link? I am intrigued. I sure hope it has a player base that will ridicule new players into leaving.
Yes Ill admit this game has beaten me into submission. That is why I stated another one bites the dust. This game intrigued me and I wish I knew about it earlier. My impression is that the player base is set in its ways, and is happy cannibalizing itself.
CCP is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Make it more accessible to new players or keep its 5,000 active players, who manage 5 accounts each, happy.

Honestly, coming to the forums to complain, did you expect a better reception? Which mission was it? Do you actually want any help or are you already out of the door and dropping a whine thread on your way out?
Yes this game is harsh, and there are many tards that play it, much like every MMO I've played.
But one tough mission and you are out?

Seriously do you expect anything else when you make a whine post instead of " ok i lost my ship (here is fitting) to XXX my skills are (link to eveboard) can you guys help me? what do i need to fix to make sure this doesnt happen again?"
or something.
make a constructive post and you get constructive responses (and a few trolls) make a whine post we all read to death and couldnt care less if you stay or not... and well this is what you get. Im surprised you even got a few helpful posts to be honest. |

Thank you for the advice. I have checked up my mission using the link and it seems I am outta my league. Even though I have completed all other missions in my Desi the comments on this page suggest I use a fully loaded Rupture or Drake. The players also had 2m skill points and i only have 900,000.
I have 21 days left on my sub. I haven't quit the game yet but it is looking likely i will. Thank you for that link. I ll use it before accepting any other level 2 quests from now on.
I am gonna go mine Veld for a couple days so I can afford a ship and try this game one more time. |

Good to hear! EVE can be a rough place at times but the memories you can make here are fantastic!
GL on your future adventures and remember it's always fine to ask questions or post asking for advice. You WILL get the trolls and people who just like to be mean reply but the game has plenty of helpful people as well. |

If you cant get over the concept that loosing a ship is the end of the world than this game is not for you. Loosing ships is part of the game, like it or not. Also.... missioning is 10% of what EVE has to offer |

I'm glad youre trying again. Eve wore me down to start with, but once you get chatting to real people (nice ones) and find an activity to enjoy it can be a great game.
Yes, annoyingly, you will have to grind money to get a new ship/fitting for the tougher levels. But thats the nature of every game, you wouldnt play any other mmo or even a single player rpg and try play every mission in your level 1 gear.
Stick with it and find your niche. Ignore people who dont help, but for every 10 people who give you pointless advice, one will link to something invaluable. |

Eve isnt for everyone i guess...
I found Eve much more fun in early days because there was that "i almost got it" moment. And those "uuu i can almost buy my arbalest launcher and then i can hurt that battleship ship in mission..."
Nowdays when I can afford almost everything those moments are basically gone
If u cant enjoy those moments -> then really it mite be wise to look for another game.
I.
P.S.
Most corps u join will not mind giving you some starters cash / ships if you really need it. |

If you don't like missions, have you really explored all the other options. Mining sucks, industry sucks. Trading can be interesting, exploration, faction warfare, incursions, lots of ways to make isk other than missions.
In Eve missions are really just an isk faucet, they aren't meant to be like quests in other MMOs, The devs try for variety and interesting stories, and succeed, but even the best story gets stale after doing it for the 100th time.
But for the sake of arguent, not all missions are equal. Some are tougher, some SEEM tough, but there is a little trick that makes it a cakewalk. Missionreports as stated above is NECESSARY far a mission runner. It tells you very important stuf, like who not to shoot, how to manage multiple spawns of rats, and sometime how blitz a mission for a fast reward. |

I still remember my very first mission post-tutorials was Break Their Will. Even though I read the reports, I didn't have enough gank to kill the station quickly or enough tank to survive the fire as I was doing it. I remember wondering what the hell was going on with scaling. I didn't realize that there was no scripted arc at that point, just random missions.
Once I learned that it is OK to drop a mission once in a while, everything got better.
/Break Their Will in a Bantam was a sad thing. |

We run a mission corp in our alliance that can help you afford a better ship at a lower tax rate than the newb corp. I wanted to quit plenty of times losing myrmidons in low sec belts but i had somebody come along and teach mfe how to play bettter. If you dont give up contact me.

Yea, nubs get on my nerves as well, but most of the eve playerbase forgets that CCP needs subscribers to keep their internet spaceships going. Even worst, most of them get a feeling of self-worth over pixel land. Pretty sad....But such is the internet. |

If level 2 missions are so frustrating that you're contemplating quitting the game, I suspect it's for the best that you do leave. I always encourage people to try out Eve, as I think it's a great game, but Eve isn't a game for everyone and it sounds like it's certainly not the game for you. If you're this frustrated by a level 2 mission, I can only imagine how you'll react the first time you're suicide ganked in high sec, scammed out of billions of ISK, stuck in a low sec/null sec system for hours due to a camp(s), and so on.
Eve is a harsh game and the missions are one of the safest, gentlest activities in the game (arguably, even moreso than mining with the frequent suicide ganks on miners these days). If you can't handle that, it's time to move on to another game and save yourself the frustration down the road. |

Just because you *can* fly a cruiser doesn't mean you *should*.
One problem I consistently see among new players is that they have no idea what skills they need; the first million SP are as haphazard as the first month's fittings. It's time to put an end to CCP's war on piracy. Fight your own battles and stop asking CCP to do it for you. |

Option 1) Cry like a ***** and quit
Option 2) Take some points on board and ask for some help. I can think of 3 people in UC right now who over the weekend lost their first cruiser to missions. A patient listening session, fleeting and finally some small isk donations to get back on their feet, they are once again on the go again, and a lot better for it.
If you have some kind of crap attitude (ie. you right here with this post) you don't get shite.
And you wonder why everyone is being an ass to you. *shakes head* For every player ship that blows up, the wheels of the economy turn slightly faster. -áDo your bit today. -áGo out and PEW.

This is the goon way.. don't pay for help. Most of us started out and had a rough time, but with some help it makes it much easier, I battled my but of till some kind fellow lent me enough isk to buy a Drake to get me through lvl3's, which I used even in some lvl4's and then WH's, lost it there in my first week approaching the WH from 20km(tengu and proteus tore me to shreds). But by then had enough isk to replace it.
If you need help, I will help for FREE, just mail me. I am happy to help people become addicts like me There are many noob friendly corps also who do not want payment.

Don't be overwhelmed by the vocal minority of forum ass hats. Every one of these clowns had trouble in the beginning of the game unless they had somebody holding their hand or they happen to have an intrinsic understanding of how the game works because they're mad geniuses (and look at their posts, they're not option #2).
Everyone of us has auto piloted into low-sec, lost a battlecruiser to a level 3, been blobbed in Blockade lvl 2 by frigates and not had the right weapons and/or tank; it happens. The ability to get past this is what will make you a better player (in MMOs in general) and a worthwhile endeavour for older players to teach you.
